  The sheriff says he didn't confirm Satterfield's whereabouts the day she was allegedly attacked.

  "We did not attempt to confirm (she was at the church meetings)," he says. "We specifically decided not to bring the church into this."

  and yet they are willing to file charges against her? Hmmmmmmm It did not require bringing in the church. All they had to do was ask her who might have seen her there and then contact that person or persons. They went so far as to get the survelance camera recordings to confirm that she was at the gas station. Hmmmmmm

  although i'm in my early 40's, i still didn't get grey hair yet.

  i may find one or two gray hairs once in a while, but not more.

  same thing with the beard.

  You also have to keep in mind that the Police in this case have a motive for claiming she is a liar. If this crime caused fear in the community and they were unable to find the assailant then it makes them look very bad. If they claim she was lying then they are off the hook and the sherrif can get back to his reelection campaign. Hmmmmmmm

  Hmmmm Rich man no lawsuits against him for it to date. The timing is awfully curious.

  As for what he stands for......... Who cares. He's not a politician. He'd have my vote.

  this past weekend i was going thru some old photos and found one of a friend who had moved overseas years ago.

  she was a jw and a regular pioneer.

  i typed her married name into google this morning and found a phone number in ireland at her place of employment.

  Wow!

  I've tried that in my efforts to find my brother but without success. I haven't seen him for 20 years. He was disfellowshipped when I was 18 and he disappeared. I sure would like to find him and reconnect.

  They should make you bring in a picture of your kid and only accept sperm from men with children. Then let the potential parents sort through the pics. A blood test for diseases should eliminate risks and then pay m......I mean the donors $ a load.

  Expenses? That's so you can make it up to your signifigant other for "having a headache" later that night.

  LOVE is stronger

  Why do people hate? Sometimes it's because they've been personally wronged. I would say more often than not, though, it's because they think they are a better person or nationality or race etc. thus showing that they love THEMSELVES.

  Hatred is stupid.

  Love is nieve.

  Reason is what accomplishes the most good for all concerned.

  What JW Teaching Did You Never Quite Totally Accept???

  since i was raised a witness, it was only as i got older that i started to "think" about what i was teaching and believing.

  but even as a young teen, i never accepted the thought that 1975 was going to be the end of the "system of things" and the beginning of the "new system".

  i just didn't quite believe that.........what belief or teaching did you have a "hard time swallowing"?

  LOL

  When I was a youngster I used to worry, I mean REALLY worry, that I would die before Armageddon and when I came back I wouldn't be able to be married and have sex. I was terrified that I was going to have to go through eternity without sex. I wanted to get married as soon as I could just in case.

  I had a problem with Armageddon too. I can remember asking my dad about those people in China. There were only about 10 witnesses there and a billion people. There's no way that they could have heard the message and rejected it. They were going to be killed for no reason. That just didn't seem right to me. As far as that goes, I always cringed inside when I heard the story of Jerico. I wondered why the entire city had to be destroyed. Those people were minding there own business. Yes they worshipped false gods but then so did every other group of people in the world. Didn't seem fair that they were killed just because they lived in the "promised land".

  ok, we all know how all private ideas are quashed in the borg.

  but, all that lobotimizing does have its effects that come out sometimes.

  we were studying the paradise book i think and the elder said he couldn't understand how people thought they'd get bored living forever.

  I knew and elders wife that thought that in the new system we wouldn't have rectums. Toilet paper would be a thing of the past because a perfect body would process the food so effeciently that there would be no "waste".
