I did call her. Just after I made the first post. She chewed me out anyway. :) I'm going to have to go to her computer to gather all the digitized family pictures. She said she was going to call you. Did she actually do it?

I'm so happy for you too. Whether is was the JWs or just Jesus, I don't care. Families were meant to stick together. I'm glad the seperation is behind us. I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I hope you have plenty of memories of him to share with the ones you love.

Well...........It happened. He called back last night. After 22 years, we've found each other. There was nervousness at first. For both of us. Neither of us were sure what the other was feeling. He asked if I was still a witness and I said: "Absolutely Not". He was careful, too careful, about talking bad about the JDubs. He wanted to make sure that he didn't influence my decision in any way. I assured him that the decision had been made and there was no going back.

We spent 1 1/2 hours catching up. Who's still alive. Who's dead. I told him about all the neices and nephews he has. He's still never seen his youngest sister who is still a dub. I found out that he has 3 sons. We talked about things we've been through and what we're doing right now. It's impossible to cram 22 years into a couple of hours worth of conversation.

His wife seemed very excited too. She listened to our conversation and from time to time he would explain a couple of details of the stories we were reminiscing about. I can't wait to see them both. Money is preventing me from a quick trip to see him but we'll be making plans soon. I'm spending this morning compiling family imformation: pictures, birthdays, phone numbers and addresses.

I feel like my insides have melted. I've finally found him. 22 years of wondering were he was, if he missed me, guilt of the role I played in shunning him. I can't explain what I feel................... I just wish I could hug him. I'm sure I'd be crying

being raised a jw, she knew it would not be considered appropriate.

I know why you're so proud but that picture just doesn't do her beauty justice. She is the most beautiful women I can ever remember meeting. You, my friend, are a lucky man. But I'm sure I didn't have to tell you that. You are one of the smartest men I've ever met. Obviously.

Bethel didn't like that idea. The said it hadn't been long enough. He gave up after that and my father pretty much disowned him. He disappeared shortly thereafter. We received a birth announcement about a year later and that was the last I'd heard of him.

My sister just started working for a lawyers office and they use a very good Private Investigating firm. I gave her what information I still had in my head and in a few minutes we had a phone number and address in Michigan. I called and got an answering machine. I didn't leave a message. What would I say? I called a few minutes ago and talked to his son. I could barely speak and I didn't know what to say. I left my number and told him that I was his father's brother and I'd been looking for him for a long time. He promised to give him the message.

I'm excited and scared at the same time. I'm not sure what reaction I'm going to get. I did although know that I would get some valuable input from my friends here and I consider you all my friends.

LOL If women really wanted honesty men wouldn't even think of lying to them. As it is..........Men can't even be honest about whether or not they find a woman attractive. Why? They are afraid of hurting the little girl's feelings. Now I'm not saying that there aren't some strong women out there that would know that there are plenty others who would find them attractive but most men just don't want to be the bad guy who crushes the frail women. Know what I mean?

Tell her she reminds you of your grandmother. You just can't get intimate without thinking of your Granny.

If that is so, then why don't we charge the police for their involvement in the crime? If the police create the crime then THEY are responsible.

Why don't we just do a personality profile for every person in the world and from that determine which ones have criminal tendancies and lock them up? Then we would have no crime at all.

The point is:

What did the police say to get this guy to that point? Obviously the guy did not actually want to meet the "kid".

Would a real kid actually talk to this guy? I have my doubts. The police could have created this whole crime. We do know that the man was not actually talking to a kid. He was talking to a cop. So is there an actual crime? From the evidence shown to us, I don't see one.

Remember when DeLorean was busted in a sting operation? Did he actually commit a crime? The undercover cops approached him and asked him if he would transport some drugs for them. Should be have to protect ourselves from our own government and their ability to tempt people to do things they wouldn't normally do?

There is no doubt that predators exist and what they say is probably disgusting. The point is: What crime did this guy commit? It's possible that the cops have an iron clad case. If so, then I challenge those reporting the news to report the actual news instead of just calling the man an alleged predator. 41 yr old men need to be protected too.
