And thats exactly why i left bethel. I was there around the same time ad LITS and saw people sent home at the drop of a hat for friviouls reasons or 'offenses' and quickly understood there was no loyalty and thus no future. I bounced first chance I got. The sad thing is i still believed it was gods organization for another ten years....

just seeing people here talk about what will happen once 2034 comes and goes is very discouraging.. i'm amazed this religion continues to move along as it does.

Well it is very interesting to see the new emphisis on showing videos to people. That takes any real reasoning or explaining out of the hands of regular publishers and makes them mere automaton, a vehicle and a smiling face to push the play button. It makes the message consistant and universal, homoginous and universal accross the spectrum of a given geograhical area. It will in effect render the ministry meaningless as individual skill and approach will be netualized In favour of the genaric video of the month.

GB Doesnt Believe in 1914 Anymore My reasoning
by thedepressedsoul ini have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

i totally agree that they could dump 1914 tomorrow and the dubbies would slurp it up, my only point here was to address the original post and point out that currently the gb is still actively pushing 1914 as a doctrine and expects good little dubbies everywhere to show people a video explaining it :) Clearly the gb are not letting it fade into obscurity just yet
