throw your livelyhood away only to get the "feeling" that jehovahs is blessing you!
i wish there was away to track the psych job during patterson and other major projects of what happened to all the "friends" that sold and got rid of their livelyhood then and where are they now.. did you ever sacrifce it all for a building project only to be left with nothing after your "spiritual high"?.

Unfortunatly the video explained nothing and is not available to anyone other than elders. Also the format was a pup in service talking to a rv. It was clearly a test run for future demos. It Was very well received locally and i think we will see more but obviously not to show to doubters

is the big show on 1914 at Service Meeting evidence of factions in the GB?
by Wasanelder Once insometimes the gb do end runs around each other, as when freddie franz didn't agree with the whole governing body concept and spoke against it at the gilead graduation.
could this video/demonstration at the service meeting tonight on why they believe in 1914 and how to explain it to others be an effort to bolster that belief because there is a challange coming against it by factions within?
i guess we can't really tell but i wouldn't put it past the boneheads running the society.

What I really fear about JW.ORG
by StarTrekAngel inmuch has been written, twitted and youtubed about the extent to which the wtbts may go in order to keep its members from peeking out of the box.
from name calling, constantly telling members about the dangers of apostasy, all the way to dfing anyone who dares to look outside.
many tools and theories have been brought forward.

i whole heartedly agree with the web site being a way to erase history for the org. No more pesky printed mags to haunt them 20 years from now!
as for using your history against you.... I dont see it. To much like work. They dont care about random pub "X" in bum screw england going apostate. Its not worth the drama to track down and then try to form a judicial (which is all they can try anyway) with no witnesses.... Na. Not the likely outcome or even a reasonable conclusion. Now to use similar means to track down elders who leak info..... Maybe worth the effort eventually, but i question how much they even care about that...

Thats really rather presumptuous. How could she possibly know what was real to you or not...? As others have noted its a defense mechanism, a way to justify why someone left And to rationalize their staying.
