there are several methods they use to try and support this position including their claim that the bible, as it exists today, is the exact same bible that has been around for thousands of years.

Maybe the purpose is that you cannot copy from the jw.org website and then post that information elsewhere, so that no trace of evidence is left when the GB re-writes some of the past published information that gets edited because of some "new light" .... thus making "apostate" claims harder to prove.

From a doctrinal point of view, they're interesting, but their unsubstanciated claims of mass "conversions", especially of people highly ranked in the Org are simply too fanciful to be believed. Then there's their backing of the Urantia Book [from which they have since retracted], that gives me cold feet. I follow the developments with interest, but from a safe distance.
