hey folks,.

i'm wondering if you all could help me with my next video that i want to put up in the next couple of days (though i'm hoping for tonight), i want to come up with a list of the most prominent urban legends surrounding jws and then refute them whatever they may be.. i'm thinking there's the urban legend about the question on jeopardy that said the nwt was the most accurate would be a good one.

that one stems from an online powerpoint presentation named theological jeopardy and a book which was written comparing six different translations of the bible.

There was this one that I've heard some 30 years ago (apparently originated in South Africa):

A JW woman is married to an unbeliever husband who opposes her relentlessly. But she stands firm in the truth and he apparently gives up. Then the memorial day comes and, out of the blue, the husband offers to drive her to the KH. She is thrilled with his changed attitude, but suddenly her drives her into the bushes instead, forces her out of the car, throws her in the ground and draws a gun, pointing at her head. He says, "This ends today". The sister closes her eyes, waiting for the shot. But instead she hears some strange sounds and the sound of something falling on the ground. She turns and finds her husband's body slashed in slices. The police, after analyzing the body, said the cuts were so precise and perfect that couldn't have been done by a human hand.

Oh, and I also heard from a relative who's a CO, that opera singer Andrea Boccelli started a concert and couldn't sing properly. Then he stopped the performance and addressed the audience asking if there were JW's among them. He then asked them to leave and offered to refund their tickets. The reason was that the demons that would help his singing were unable to do that with JW's in the audience.

Education Level of GB

after seeing so many topics about the stupidity of the gb, just got me wondering, anyone know the secular education levels of the gb?

are they high school level religious zealots or are they college educated manipulators?

The way I see it, their problem isn't in itself not having academic achievements.

If only they had some common sense, intellectual honesty and chose not to be willingly ignorant, and surround themselves with educated, capable people ... but they choose otherwise. They're blinded by the power they're invested with and won't part with it.

40 years have passed and now Joshua can lead his flock to the Promised Land. For those that didn’t understand 40 years its 1975 the date that sectarians like Ray Franz put doubt on the weak.

So, while your idols at the GB completely dismissed the type/antitype interpretation of the Scriptures, here you come with a completely personal *new light*: 1975 was the equivalent of the bad report from the 12 spies at the doorstep of the promised land, and now, in 2015, 40 years after the desert wandering, "Joshua" is going to lead the Jehovah's Witnesses to the promised land / paradise ? By all means do submit your private musings to the GB, they may actually publish that on the WT before the October edition.

Found another name: Brenda DePena Gray.

She was the opening speaker on the said 2012 SABM meeting, on the subject "Leadership and Structure Program". Her current position?

Clinical Director Bloodless Medicine/ Transfusion Alternative Program Atlanta Medical Center

Again, a look at her LinkedIn profile reveals the connection to the Jehovah's Witnesses. Scroll down to the bottom. Again, on volunteer & causes:

So, another member of SABM identified as a Jehovah's Witness.

I have found a name that connects SABM with the Jehovah's Witnesses: Yvette Bunch.

I found her name as one of the speakers on the 2012 annual meeting of the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management on the subject "Consent Process and Patient Directives". On her LinkedIn profile, it states that she works at the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in the capacity as "Bloodless Medicine / Patient Blood management Program Coordinator".

She is listed as a member of SABM and also AABB.

Scrolling to the bottom of her profile, you can see that, among her interests are "Bible History", and then, voila! - on her volunteer & causes she lists her experience in "KH Regional Building":

Oklahoma and South Carolina KH Regional Building is professional volunteers organized by states for the purpose of building Kingdom Hall which serve as educational centers.

Although the name "Jehovah's Witnesses" isn't mentioned, we all know that Kingdom Halls are the places where Jehovah's Witnesses conduct their meetings. So, Ms. Yvette Bunch, of SABM, is a Jehovah's Witness.

Actually, on the legal papers of a lawsuit involving OPK Biotech, it is plainly stated that:

Alex Pugachev is probably a relative of russian investor Sergey Pugachev.

Incidentally, the lawsuit is in itself very interesting, because it reveals the fraudulent practices of the inventors of Hemopure. The lawsuit was filed by a researcher, Dr. Abdel-Aleem, who was once hired by OPK Biotech to work on the development of Hemopure.

"On July 28, 2006, Abdel-Aleem’s employment with Biopure was terminated. Dr. Abdel- Aleem left Biopure because he had fundamental differences with the then CEO of Biopure, Zafiris Zaferilis, regarding the safety and reliability of Biopure’s product. In Dr. Abdel-Aleem’s professional opinion, based on published scientific studies, Biopure’s blood substitute product was unsafe for human use. Dr. Abdel-Aleem was unwilling to compromise his moral and ethical obligations to the public and Biopure’s shareholders by deceiving them into believing that Biopure’s product, Hemopure, was viable at the time. Hemopure never gained U.K. or U.S. regulatory approval. Dr. Abdel-Aleem feared that Biopure was attempting to abuse his credentials and reputation in the field of clinical trials to deceive shareholders."

Attempting to abuse someone's scientific credentials and reputation to deceive its members? Smells a lot like something the Watchtower Society is very accustomed to do.

A little more about the early days of Hemopure:

In this article published in the New York Times in 1990, was noticed that Biopure announced with some fanfare that the first safety human trials had been conducted in Guatemala.

"the researchers said the trials, conducted at a medical center in Guatemala City, showed only that the product is safe for use in humans".

However the the NYT journalist noticed a couple of oddities with this announcement:

"The results were presented in a highly unorthodox setting, at a conference sponsored by the Guatemalan mission to the United Nations in New York. The aim of the announcement seemed to be more an appeal by the Guatemalan researchers for assistance with the next phase of the trials than a formal presentation of scientific results."

The NYT reporter also pointed out sharply that little hard data was provided to back up the announcement:

"Indeed, the researchers offered almost no hard data to support their claims that the new product was completely safe. ''We are preparing that data for publication,'' said Dr. Rudolf Garcia-Gallont, the doctor in charge of the testing. ''We are still in the process of putting it all together.''

The NYT reporter also hinted what seemed to be the point of this largely unsubstantiated press conference: Public Relations, namely to put pressure on the american FDA to give the go-ahead permission to conduct human trials in the US.
