Listener, I am noting your answer for later use. I know I will need it! Exactly honest and can be slick enough to be what they want to hear in order to avoid a JC.

Do you believe that God is using the faithful and discreet slave
by trujw init seems that this question is used by elder to trap us and close their minds(the jw elder) to thinking.
if you answer no they wrap up a jc in short order.
i was wondering if any have tried to use a more pointed question to actually get them to think themselves.

The Greatest Show On Earth - A Book Summary In Many Parts
by cofty init was a number of years after i left the watchtower that i finally admitted to myself that i had never really investigated evolution.. i thought i was already an expert on the subject despite everything i knew about it coming form a source that was attacking the theory.
when i began to reserch evolution objectively i was astonished by the breadth an depth of the evidence.
i have been reading books and articles on the subject for around ten years now and always find it to be fascinating and inspiring.. a couple of years ago i began to write a summary of dawkin's book on the jws forum with the intention of helping any lurking jws who could not dare be seen reading the book for themselves.

New Girl
by excitesinceredetermination inhello to everyone :) i wanted to introduce myself as a newbie.
i was raised in and i am currently on active status due to most of my family being very much in, but i am so ready to be done and have felt that way for quite some time.
internally i know this is not the right religion without a doubt.

Our Story
by Auntfancy inhi everyone, i have been on here for a little while and haven't introduced myself to you.
i can't tell you how much all of you have helped me sort many things out in my mind.. i was raised in a very good christian home and married my hs sweetheart.
i left home and moved half way across the country with a husband and a brand new baby.

Aunt Fancy & WhoLovesMagic You are amazingly brave women!! Welcome to the forum! I anxiously await hearing and learning more about all you have been through. Your experiences have brought tears, but when I kept reading on to how you finally get to live your life...happy & to the full now...it brings a smile to my face! An inspiration to the ones like me, who are just starting on the journey out. (You too Villiagegirl!) Hugs from me!
Much love -Excite

I love what eyesropen said, there is nothing like seeing true unbridled joy on your children's faces. To see their eyes beam when you surprise them with their first birthday party and friends from school. :) To realize that you can now give them everything you didn't have growing up. They can grow up feeling normal, playing sports and hangin out with friends in pajamas on Saturday mornings....simple things in life that they don't have to feel guilty for...they will treasure being freed from such tight control.
I have little ones too and in the same situation. If you want to message me to discuss anything that weighs on your mind, just click on my name and send message on the blue bar. Leaving may take a while, but it will pay off. Hang in there & welcome hun!

Hubby and Wifey saying Hi
by free and happy inso where do you start?.
i've been reading peoples experiences for several months now trying to figure out what i want to say but how do you put your whole life into a few words?.
i was a born in but have been happy and free for 5 years and luckily for me my husband felt the same way and we have freed our children from being brainwashed.

Free and happy & Gone Awol you did the right thing, you should be proud of the courageous stand you took to save your daughter. True friends would be genuinely happy...her life was saved my goodness, really people!
More and more are seeing the 'being kicked while you are down' That is what woke me up too, it is all words of support and gushing love...but when you're suffering and need your friends, they are gone. Worse yet, like you said, snarling with haughty disapproval. There is so much more to life!
A VERY WARM WELCOME TO YOU BOTH!

Well done Comatose You are very lucky! Now you can get her all wrapped up in the excitement of planning what to do for your/her next birthday party while the enthusiasm is still fresh.

Fantasy "Forbidden Fruit" Ex-Witness Party
by CaptainSchmideo inif you could get all willing participants on this board together in one area for a party, and told them to bring favorite music, food, movies, and dressed in certain fashion, all of which has been discouraged or outright banned either by the wts or by their flunkies (do, co, elders, busybodies in the hall, etc.
), what would you bring?.
i would bring:.

I am very appreciative Flipper for your kindness! :)
Thank you for letting me know Andys what you are still up against in the same area with holidays and family It is absolutely my favourite thing to be surrounded by family during the holidays...all of the warmth, glow and hustle of eating & reminiscing. Someday soon I hope too. *Sigh*
