bushfires raging in victoria have claimed the lives of at least 35 people so far and the toll is expected to rise in the 40`s.yesterdays temp.rose to 46.4 cent.
(115 f ) more than 85 towns were under threat and dozens of homes lost with a terrible loss of livestock and wildlife.. in the northern part of the country qld.

Australia is the land the bible forgot. If an ol' testament God really wanted to scare someone into obedience, he would have given them eucalyptus trees and threatened bushfire. Part hurricane / inferno, part mini nuclear blasts nothing can stop a big fire. It feeds on itself creating its own all consuming weather system.

There's a fire raging in National Park about 20k south but it's not smokey here due to a nor' easterly.
Living in the forest, I'm not game to mention the word bushfire.

A friend of mine threw out his beloved Black Sabath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and other albums with pagan or mythical symbols.
He was pretty upset on finding out I was keeping mine. Even though I was dub to the max I was suspicous of Orwellian book burning type tactics.

Hurlbut, ebay and WT plagiarism
by Odrade inlast week i picked up an old book on ebay called "hurlbut's story of the bible.
" it's an illustrated "bible" that is arranged by stories, with pictures.
many of them have morals to be learned, some tie in "foreshadowing" of new testament events.

The illustrations I've seen online do look similar and it wouldn't surprise me if most if not all early watchtower pictures were begged, stolen or 'borrowed' from somewhere else. I have a large book of adventist bible charts somewhere that look remarkably similr to those in Watchtower publications (printed in 1908).

he really knows his stuff about what is going on with the environment.
he talked about how the coal mining in west virginia has torn down large mountains because they dump the rocks and soil into the rivers then the mountains are gone.

If you think using all available technology to fell the earths old forests, denude the oceans of their fish, pollute the air we breath and water we drink with toxins and wipe out bio-diversity and animal habitat then yep, we're f*cking this planet up and 'ruining' it like there was no tomorrow.
The manager of the Eden woodchip mill (shitheads pulping and exporting to Japan the old growth forests of south east Australia) once said "The only wilderness is between a greenies ears!" I hope that's not a prophesy that comes true.
I detest the way we're gradually concreting the planet and when you go on google-earth night the globe is lit up like a christmas tree .. first thing a parental alien might scream is "HEY DOWN THERE - PUT THOSE LIGHTS OUT!"
