Good to see you posting. My weekends are always busy and rarely the same. Not when there are markets to go to, coffee shops and beaches that need visiting etc.. For example, as a member of "W.I.R.E.S" (wildlife information and rescue service) Last night I was called out to rescue an injured wombat (female hit by car with a baby still in the pouch .. mother died but baby might be OK) Last week I sqeezed in a visit to Canberra and spent the night at fellow JWD poster Barry's house (a man with interesting pastimes) Today I will be gardening (or at least trying to establish a garden) and then going back into the shed to work on restoring an antique dresser. I love working with my hands, weekends or not. Such a short life and so many things to enjoy!

Thank's for the reminder .. I'm outta here LOL ... get a hobby or three I say (and make sure none of them involve meetings with fanatics or group singing

what would you say if a close friend was to come to you and say: "i've secretly been studying with jehovah's witnesses and i plan to join their organization.

i know how you feel about the witnesses, but i truly feel that they are god's chosen organization.

i don't really want to hear anything negative about the society, but out of respect for our friendship, i'll let you briefly mention one reason why i shouldn't.

PS: Personally i see nothing wrong with someone becoming a JW. Particularly if they're an obnoxious like shit with nothing positive to offer the world. ("go forth and pioneer yourself to the brink of exasperation" i say .. In my dotage i've taken to cursing my cyber enemas with "aw go get yerself baptised .. fer farks sake!")

PSS: Nice Lobo scar little toe ;) While we're all here comparing watchtower scars .. it's not the removal of brain tissue that hurt me as much as the pile of crap they stitched back in it's place .. had to remove that gunk the hard way, one loaded word and sick warped concept at a time .. ouch

my parents made it clear to me that while i'm under their roof, i can't have _any_ communication with apostates.

obviously, that would rule out this group; so until i move (hopefully in a couple of months or so), i must be on a forced hiatus!

we haven't really had any scandals here i.e the sexual abuse coverups haven't really been heard of here so this is big news in lil old kiwi land.. possible motive for disappearance.

What did you do during the written review

by far the most boring part of all meetings is the written review.

what kind of stuff did you guys (male and female) do to pass the time.

i either to write computer programs, sleep talk to my wife or sleep in the car.

The written review started way back in the days when the School Servant was a real son of a canning headmaster. (you couldn't cheat in those days, it was strictly eyes down bum up and pass your papers in at the tinkling of the bell. lol.

Me I was raised in the more enlightened '60's and used to finish first (usually getting a few wrong but looking around all smug and mr bean like at the poor sods still fumbling with thier hardcover bibles trying to remmember if Nebucadnezzar's dream was wet or dry) It was the same smugness one enjoys when one doesn't need a songbook anymore ;)

what self-respecting jw would deny this?

anything under the sun that doesn't coincide with wt doctrine would be considered 'satanic' by jws.. there exists a long list of satanic activities we can be engaged in.

when i was young i used to love reading comic books and still have a collection.the marvel commics were always my favorite.although i liked alot of the different characters i would have to say spiderman was my favorite .i can't wait to see the movie it looks so cool from the previews.so common i know some of ya are into comics ,let's have it whose your favorite super hero or villian?
