I tried the studying routine, I have read the bible many times and it doesn't make a lot of sense. The way God acted with the people in the time of the Isrealites is not even close to the way Christ describes God. Why did he change so much when he decided to deal with the gentiles? Which brand of religion should I follow? The GB has been wrong so many times that it seems useless to try and understand what God is really trying to say to us. They say to follow them as God's spokesman and yet they haven't a clue as to what God is doing for his supposed people. I guess you and YK have found the "truth" and we should listen to you. I don't think so.
I will try and live my remaining days with the idea that we should respect our fellow man and help as we can, change the attitude to that of love whenever possible and hope God will see our hearts(whatever that is) and reward us if he sees fit to do so. I don't condemn you for your personal view of God but I don't think you have the right to expect me to fellow your view of "truth". I just don't see the Christain view of God to be very beneficial to mankind as history will attest. The view as expressed by the GB hasn't been so great either. Religious groups just want control of your lives and money, they arn't getting either from me.

I can give her the love and care that she needs to have a good life. As far as trying to dictate her faith I will let her find that for herself. Her mother has faith in God as well as her father. They can try to persuade her to follow their example, but she must ultimately decided for herself. I don't try to destroy anyones faith but I do ask questions at times to try to get them to think. I just can't find the evidence of a God as described by the bible writers, nor would I like such a God, especially the God of the Israelites. If God ever reveals himself to me in a way that I can understand I will be happy to be his friend.

You may be right about God's deception. Since the GB is guided by his spirit and hasn't got one single date right yet, along with your predictions, it sure seems he loves to deceive you anointed ones. Since we can't depend on God to be straight with us, who do we trust? Any suggestions?

if god wants us to 'find' him, why doesn't he make it a little easier??.
it seems to me that there are a lot of very 'good' people who have their own religion or people like myself who try to 'find' him but are not willing to blindly have 'faith', and i'm sure there are a lot of you here who are like me in that respect.. .

I will be interested in the answers you get as I feel the same as you on this issue. I wonder all the time as I consider nature and the way it seems to show man as just another animal with more intelligence. I would really appreciate God giving us a little more than the bible to explain his purpose, since no religion seems to understand it, except by explaining away most of it.

plenty of yk bible 'insights'........of course none of which would be supported with references to wts publications.the wts would reject all that stuff and df you if you tried spreading it in your community.. .
after all the wts said in the 1.8.01 wt page 14.... he does not advocate or insist on personal opinions or harbor private ideas when it comes to bible understanding.. .
