If you were a man how would you handle this situation. My step grandson's girlfriend is pregnant. He or she doesn't know for sure if it is his or another guy's baby. They broke up for a while and she had sex with this other guy, but it could be either my grandson's or the other guy's within the time frame. He just turned 18. I can't imagine his feelings right now.

Today I had to go over to Reidsville, a little town where I lived for a while when I was about 22 or so and I took a different route home from my usual way. A little further down the road I remembered calling on the homes in fieldservice, as it was called them. Then as I continued I remember going this way to an old sisters home where we met in an upstairs room for the meetings and my Grandmother played and old pump organ to
lead the old Kingdom Songs, this was in the 40s. I almost cried as I remembered these days and the good times I enjoyed with my family. Almost all the ones that were there are dead now. When you get to be and old guy like me you have a lot of old memories that you cherish.
Then I came back to reality. Would I go back to those old times? No, not when I thought of my kids and grandkids and the life I enjoy now. I'm a lucky SOB to have had so much good in my life. I don't regret any of my life, even though I was duped for so many years by the WT society. I cherish it all.

Who remembers sitting in Yankee Stadium and listening to the new light about the "princes or faithful men of old" in the late fifties or early sixties being explained by Fred Franz. Instead of being resurrected before Armageddon they were already in our midst. Some who were not listening thought David or Abraham was there. I heard one sister fainted when she heard that the princes were already in Yankee Stadium. Always changing the "Truth" to new "Truth".

this got me to thinking.... now that most of us have left the wts, i notice some have taken other belief systems.
some have come to a peace with their own ideas.. my question is are you involved with another religion?
has it brought you more peace or happiness?
Good question. I don't think I will ever believe in any religion again. I went with my wife to a church for about a year, there were divisions, contentions, politics and all the other diversities of humanity there, very little real love and happiness. She quit going also and was disillusioned with the people there also.
I haven't come to any decision about God and what he may be. I still have a feeling that there may be something out there, but what it requires of us I have no idea. I think maybe the way we treat our fellow humans may determine our eventual fate, if there is one past the grave. I think maybe man has created the concept of God to quell his fear of death. Why must there be more than our present life? Are animals included in this idea of future life? Who really knows if all religion isn't just man's imagination?

I agree that nature is beautiful in some circumstances but downright cruel in others and man has no influence on these things. Think of the way animals have to live to survive. They eat each other, not only that but they have some of the same cruel diseases as humans, and some unique to themselves. You blame all bad on man himself, what about natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, tornados, floods, drought, etc. Does God do this because He's miffed about man wanting to use his free will? This happens to not only bad people but those who are loyal, life long worshipers of God. If our worship meant anything to God it would seem he would at least acknowledge it in some way tangible.
Why should all of mankind today be held responsible for what two humans did ages ago? This story doesn't make much sense to me as it makes God responsible for making all the rest of mankind like them, because we have nothing to do with our being born or being sinners.

It's not much to brag about but I'm pretty happy with it. It's warm in winter and cool in summer and doesn't leak when it rains, what else could you want? Don't ask my wife, please!
