I discovered why God made Natural disasters
by Undecided ini was setting in church and reading nahum chapter 1 and he said he used wind, earthquakes, volcanos etc.
to punish evil men who didn't listen to his word.

Strange things happen, lightning struck a church near here and it burned down.I wonder what they were doing in there? A church up in the dope area was set on fire by some dope heads and about a half mile up the road ran into a truck and they burned up. Strange things do happen.
I really don't think God does any of it though.

Minimus, Yes recently I have been feeling depressed. Don't know why, but I sure hate it. Can't really enjoy things very much, can't get really interested in anything, like my hobbies. I don't like the effects of medicine that I have seen given to my step-daughter for depression. I will just try to overcome it by positive thinking and maybe a few natural remedies.

No Bible = No God ???

there are numerous discussions regarding the validity of the bible which usually result in the following:.

I wonder about his creation.
Some would say his major talking is his creation.
When I see the way tornators, volcanors and other natural disastors happen, plus viruses, germs and sicknesses, plus old age and death for all living things, I don't like a God like that who would create the universe as we know it. So I just sort of leave a God out of it.

I don't really know. Sometimes I look back at something I did and think why did I do that? Sometimes my emotions and desires cause me to make stupid decisions, well maybe in times past. I think I'm a little lazy when it comes time to think about something that I need to do, I just put it off for later.

I Pondered God's Existence Today, and
by journey-on inponder this scenario:.
an alien "scientist" totally unfamiliar with the human and its anatomy comes to earth and sees a human sleeping.
it sees no other humans around, so has no frame of reference to evaluate this creature nor understand what it is doing.. the alien slices into the mans skull and pulls out the brain.

How do you chose which God to believe in??? All different religions believe in some type of God who is more powerful than us humans. Why doesn't God give us some positive evidence what he wants us to do for him. Should we just go door to door and tell the poor people that if they don't do this too they will be destroyed by this loving God? The bible says if we aren't called by him we are out of luck, just another Goat.
Some religions say we will be tormented forever in a burning hell if we aren't saved by Jesus, or God or the Holy Spirit, since they are all the same person. To be saved all you have to do is believe in something with out any evidence, just some writtings of men.
I'm waiting for some pull by God to get me going.

by senora ini just had another take on that thread, so i decided to start a new one.. i've been going to the meetings off and on lately, so for the ones of you who haven't been in a while, you would not believe how much the the borg is constantly repeating that phrase over and over again.
its like they are trying to spook everyone out.

Yep, my end is pretty close. I hate that truth but I might as well get used to the idea. I also think the whole world is getting near it's end as we know it today, but that is just a feeling I have from what I see in the world. I hope I'm like the GB's predictions from 1914 till now, and it continues on and on.
