  my grandson had a boy yesterday.

  Mouthy, they named him Logan Blake. My wife has been down in SC for the whole week. I haven't seen him yet but will soon.

  middle age revelation

  just thinking here, reading some comments, and realizing how attitude changes with age.

  when i was a teenager, .

  being able to have some menial job (such as walking around with a please take your seat sign) at the convention was an awesome privilege.

  I didn't have the problem of not being appointed as a servant, I was overwhelmed with appointments and became the leading PO, that's why I left as I reached 37 in '73. It was just too much work and used all my time. I felt if Armageddon came in 1975 I didn't care, at least I would have a year or two of peace with my life. I still felt like it was the TRUTH but didn't care. I gradually lost that feeling and finally became free from the cult. I now feel there is no TRUTH in religion, it's just a way to deal with the realization of death for some people. I don't think anyone knows what reality is.

  My grandson had a boy yesterday. He seems so happy. He thought he had a boy a few years ago but it turned out to be someone else's child. He's married this time and he seems to be finally growing up to accept life as it should be with some responsibility for his sex. He's my step son but we have been closer than his real dad. I have a lot of good times to remember with him. He lives in SC now so I won't see him as often as I did when he was a young boy.

  The American Flag, JWs and Me

  hubby and i put a 17' flag pole up today, proudly flying the american flag ... .

  a major witness no no.....lol.

  this caused me to remember my first "incident" with a flag and jws.... .

  I noticed my Dfed brother has a flag in his yard now. He shows respect for the poor soldiers who have fought in wars. Mankind is so stupid to fight each other, but I guess they learned it from their Gods.

  I guess you might say that. An old guy who wasn't active in the congregation but had been associated with Rutherford many years before and believed it was the truth put me on his checking account so that when he died I could draw out his money and give it to the KH. I was the PO at the time. Years later when I was inactive he died and I drew out his $16,000 and gave it to the KH.

  We incorporated the KH back in the 60's when we first built it. We were supposed to have a board meeting once a year. I don't remember if we ever had one though. Ken P.

  If you're like most religions, you just make it mean whatever you think it should mean. I think screwing someone's butt is unnatural, at least it was when it was done to me when I was a young boy.

  it's been interesting to read the various discussions that go on here particularly between those who 'believe' in a 'god' and those who don't.

  in my opinion when all is said and done it seems to come down simply to.

  If they really believed in a grand afterlife, why would they try to keep living when they get sick and pray to get well so they won't go to heaven. Eveyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die.
