  Spanish JWs Here???

  hi folks.. the other day i was with my brother-in-law at one of his rental houses(he has 25 in eden) and i saw a box of cds.

  i picked one up and it read "kingdom songs" and it was produced by the wt society.. i asked him if they were jws, he said he didn't know but they weren't catholic but were mexican.. a few days later i saw a couple of people next door talking to my spanish neighbors.

  they had to be jws, book bag, bible, literature and that "look".

  Hi Folks.

  The other day I was with my brother-in-law at one of his rental houses(he has 25 in Eden) and I saw a box of CDs. I picked one up and it read "Kingdom Songs" and it was produced by the WT Society.
  I asked him if they were JWs, he said he didn't know but they weren't Catholic but were Mexican.

  A few days later I saw a couple of people next door talking to my Spanish neighbors. They had to be JWs, book bag, bible, literature and that "look". They went across the street and two different ones called on that Spanish house. They were speaking spanish also. I am wondering if there is a Spanish congregation near by. They didn't call on any other houses. I almost went over to check them out, you know like a nosy neighbor.

  Funny bowling day....

  monday i go bowling with my df'd brother.

  i wasn't doing too good today and in the third game i had two open frames to start the game.

  i said it is time i got a strike, in fact it is time and a half times as in daniel.

  Hi All,

  Monday I go bowling with my Df'd brother. I wasn't doing too good today and in the third game I had two open frames to start the game. I said it is time I got a strike, in fact it is time and a half times as in Daniel. I rolled a strike. I then said it was seven times and I rolled a strike. I then said it was a Babylon the Great ball and I rolled a strike. Then I rolled an Armageddon strike. I kept doing this and had a 215 game. It was funny. My brother laughed along with me. It's good to be able to laugh at the silly bible superstitions.

  Is this world ruled by Demons and are we?

  to me, one of the most pathetic and lamest of all watchtower teachings is the fantasy that satan and the demons rule the world.

  the witnesses are terrified of these demons getting into their minds through everything from wearing old clothes bought at the thrift store to smoking cigarettes (remember all drugs give demons easy access to your mind.).

  they would have you believe that each country on earth is controlled by really big mean and tough demons (hey demons cant be nice you know) and they are actively controlling the minds of the political leaders in a global chess game because they have nothing better to do.. i was wondering then if anyone can show me a single itsy bitsy tiny amount of evidence to show any credible physical evidence or logical/metaphysical reasoning to back the jw ideological boogey men.

  Hi Mindchild,

  My wife has never been a JW, but she has the same mindset as some JWs on demons. Last night she said the demons can get into you when you get knocked on the head, like in a car reck. I just laughed at her. Since leaving the JWs I don't beleive in the Devil or demons. Her sister said that she saw a demon in our house years ago. There were demons in her mother's house years ago, in a certain bed room according to her dad. It's strange how religion can affect your mind.

  this photo was taken on the day of her birth.. she was born tuesday, january 29, at 9:05am.

  she weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

  Hi Dedalus.

  I hope you enjoy her as much as I do my daughters. She will make your life so much more worthwhile. She looks so sweet. I'm enjoying my grand daughter now since I'm too old to have another one myself. Treasure the time you will have with her, it goes so fast. I wish I could do it all over again.

  I can't seem to get the picture the WT protrays about the Eden scene.
  If the tree of knowledge and the tree of life was not a literal tree with the powers described why did their eyes become opened to good and evil after eating, and why did God invent the sword to keep them from eating from a literal tree and living forever? That's the way the fairy tale is told in the bible.

  i talked to several people here today who dont believe there is a god at all.

  Hi Flower,

  I don't live my life any different than I did when I believed, except I give more of my time to my family and friends instead of some God who doesn't need my time or money. What would you do differently if you thought there was no God? I feel much better and actually live a better life because I want to do it, not because I think some God is watching me.

  Hi Flower,

  This is a question that can't be proved either way. You will have to form your own opinion. There doesn't seem to be a God that is very interested in what happens to mankind that I can imagine, but what do I know? He could have some agenda that I can't understand. The universe is too complicated for me to decide. I at least hope there is one.

  Am I the Oldest One here??

  today is my birthday, born in 1936. that makes me 66. i can hardly beleive it.

  i'm still in good health but know it's just a short run until something does me in.

  i'm really thankful for the great life i've enjoyed, no real problems that i consider serious.

  Thanks for all the good wishes and comments.

  Only in the last year or two have I noticed the signs of age getting to me. In my driving, I'm more causious about backing out of a parking space, can't see as well at night. My body is getting stiff, except the parts that should. I don't like climbing on ladders and getting on the roof of my house, I don't run so fast anymore, I picked up a rock to throw out of my yard and it didn't go as far as it should, when I stand on one leg my balance is not good. I was strong a few years back, now when I lift something it's much heaver than it should be. Of course I don't need to do as much work as I did so it doesn't matter that much. Some of this is the result of inactivity(siting in front of this computer).

  My mind is also having trouble with remembering names, of people and objects. This bothers me more than anything else. I can be talking and can't remember a particular word, name of a person, or thing. I told my wife as long as I could remember how to get back home I would be OK. It's really not that bad yet, but I can see a difference.

  As to words of wisdom, enjoy every day of your life but use your thinking ability to not kill your body in the process.

  Hi MC,

  I'm really sorry to hear about your treatment by your father. I can't relate to that because I remember my father as being so proud of his family(My brother and I) that when he met someone at an assembly he would introduce us to the person with such love and enthusiasm. He died when I was 18 and I have missed him over the years. I can't imagine what it would have been like to be in your shoes. I hope you can recover.
