My high school picture in 1954.
Those were the days!!! I scanned this from my annual that was printed each year for the school.
I noticed what I wrote in the front as a farewell to school days.
"Here's to all the wonderful expierences I've enjoyed in school. As my days in school draw to a close I can look back and see the many oportunities I've missed to better myself. I could have worked harder and made better grades, but heck I had fun not making them. May all the things I've learned be used for something worthwhile. I hope the years to come may be beneficial for myself and others by the things I've learned. I will miss the good times I've had and especially the many friends. This is bidding you farewell."
I went to a class reunion a while back and it was good to see so many of my old friends. I was a JW but didn't shun anyone at school. Times have changed since the fifties. I was on the basketball team, in the Beta Club, FBLA, Glee Club, Recrecreation Club, Band, Student Council, Bus Driver and Beauty Pageant Escort. (Copied this from my annual)
It wasn't so bad being a JW back then, I even dated several of the girls from different schools. Damn would I like to do it all over again!!!!
