Queenie's In The Hospital

i have just been informed that our good friend queenie is in the hospital due to compications caused by diabetes.

she is likely to remain in the hospital for at least a couple of weeks.

i am sure that you will all join me in wishing our queenie a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear of your sickness, I hope you will be home soon and feeling better. Being sick sucks, but with good care and a little time we usually bounce back, I will be watching for the bounce.

Couldn't Beleive What I Was Hearing.

computer was down for a week, just quit working.

i built a new one, amd200+ and the first thing i do is come here.

i was driving by a car that a guy was working on and i thought i recognized him, so i turned around and went back and it was a jw that i had known for years.

This is an old gentleman, in his mid to upper seventies. I think he said he had been retired for 13 years. Maybe he is just burned out. All his kids are JWs also.

computer was down for a week, just quit working.

i built a new one, amd200+ and the first thing i do is come here.

i was driving by a car that a guy was working on and i thought i recognized him, so i turned around and went back and it was a jw that i had known for years.

I just bought the components and put them together. I had the HDs, DVD, FD. I bought a new case, motherboard, CPU & Fan,& memory. It seems to be working OK for now, I just need to increase my memory, it is DDR and my old one used SDRam so I couldn't use it. You were probably wise to just get a new system, I've seen them for $350 with a CDRW and 1.2GHZ CPU, 20 GIG HD, 128MB MEM.

Computer was down for a week, just quit working. I built a new one, AMD200+ and the first thing I do is come here. Anyway.......

I was driving by a car that a guy was working on and I thought I recognized him, so I turned around and went back and it was a JW that I had known for years. I drove him to get a part for it and we talked for a while. He said I haven't seen you at the KH in years. You don't believe it anymore do you? I said not really. Any way after we fixed the car he said that the preaching work seems about through. No one listens anymore. He said they used to push you to get 10 hours a month but not anymore. He said Jesus never went door to door. The end could be a thousand years away and most of the young ones don't seem to have any zeal and are leaving. WOW! What has happened at the local KH. I just might have to go back to the KH to see!!

A Dose of Love

i picked up my 17 year old granddaughter at school for my daughter who wasn't feeling well.

when i got to her home and went in, emily my little 18 month old grandaughter came over to me and i picked her up to give her a hug.

she puts her head near my shoulder and snuggles up for about 2 or 3 minutes.

When I got to her home and went in, Emily my little 18 month old grandaughter came over to me and I picked her up to give her a hug. She puts her head near my shoulder and snuggles up for about 2 or 3 minutes. I can feel the love she is giving me, it makes me feel so good, it's been two hours and I can still feel it.

My daughter says she doesn't do this with anyone else, I guess she can feel my love also, not that others don't love her too. it's just something special we have. I hope she remembers this when I'm gone, I know I will never forget.

When I was still a JW, the PO in the congregation, an old gentleman asked me to come by his home to talk with him. He never attended the meetings but had a history dating back to Rutherford and was acquainted with him. He didn't have much money($16,000) but he put my name as a joint account person so when he died I could just draw the money out for the congregation. A trusting soul. I forgot about it and was out of the congregation for years and I got a call that he had died. I went to the bank and drew out the money and gave it to the congregation. See, that proves I'm honest. I don't think his family was too thrilled but I just did what the old man wished.

What Are You All Doing Now?

i am at a crossroads in my life, and wanted your opinions:.

i have been d/f for 18 months, i have learnt enough to know jws are completely misguided, but my sis has also been d/a for questioning things, she has been doing the alpha course and is getting baptised at a baptist church next weekend, which i am very pleased for her to be doing if she feels it's right.

i am in a quandry as i am very sceptical about going to another religion, i know many i have spoken to say, it isn't joining a religion but just associating with other christians.

Hi Tish,

Do whatever makes YOU happy. I have tried going to a church and it didn't do anything to explain God to me at all. It was more of an emotional experience for the members there, everytime someone testified about their faith they cried. I didn't mind going, they were friendly and caring, at least superficially, but there was the same old discord among some of the members. I decided to stop going and I haven't regretted it at all.

I'm still searching for God after 25 years out of the borg and don't think I will ever understand him. I tried nature as a way to understand his character and along with the beauty is all the nasty stuff, with death the final result of it all for every living thing, with alot of suffering along the way. As for myself I've had very little suffering but for humanity as a whole the picture is very different. I just don't understamd WHY???
