my husband is a construction worker.
My son and my brother-in-law are going through the workers compensation ordeal now. Both have serious back injuries. You must have a lawyer in order to get anything from them. A lot of paper work is required. Good luck with your ordeal. The employer will try to keep you from getting anything.

everyone will talk to me if i run into them but they don't try to get in contact with me or see me.
i live in a rural area on one of the main roads so they will see my house.
I just blame the tree on my non JW wife, although I go get it and put it up.
My brother and wife were Df'd for Christmas decorations. Go figure.

i was reading an account of the decline of the new york mob in usa today and found some .
parallels with the watchtower.. too much publicity and exposure: the 'teflon don' liked his armani suits and media.
presence - but this intensified the attention his organization received from authorities.. older, wiser leaders ( carlo gambino) realized that keeping a low profile was important.. the end of 'omerta' - mob figures used to maintain a code of silence but this started.
The mob isn't dead yet, they controll almost all the construction companys in NY city.

i started running in april of this year.
i decided i wanted to run the 5k in the race for the cure (breast cancer) in june.
i loved it and was able to run faster than i expected, about 28 minutes.
Hey Wasa,
You should try bike riding. It won't hurt your feet and it's good exercise. I don't run anymore, the pounding hurts but bike riding is fun. You can cover a lot of ground and see some interesting things you miss in the car, that is if you have a safe route to ride.

i am pained by the lack of faith by people on the board recently both in god and in general.. it is obvious that unbelievers in god would have such lack of faith.
but it is not confined to them alone but to others that though believers in god have little trust and confidence in him.. these of little faith constantly cry for proof and evidence both of god existence or in the case of bill bowens letter to the wts proof of govering body members guilt as child molesters.
they haven't the ability to believe or have faith without physical evidence.. one of my main mentors is tv minister fred price which i watch every sunday morning.
Name one war that didn't involve religion or some sort of God or faith.

It is a nice room, with carpet, closets and a bathroom near by. I think she liked the room. I don't think she ever had seen anything like this. I haven't talked to her yet, but I will tomorrow and ask some questions. I'll probably spend the night there. I'll let you know what happens.

My grandson's wife is staying at my daughters with her newborn son(my great grandson). They have a room in the basement. Last night she said something was holding her in the bed and wouldn't let her go to her new baby. She swore she wasn't asleep. My daughter has seen some strange things too. The daughter-in-law won't stay in that room again.
What do you think is happening? My friend who was never a JW want's me and him to go sleep in the room to see if we see anything strange. I don't believe in demons so it might be an interesting adventure. What do you think is happening? They might have a smurf up there!

two longtime elders (one in his fifties, the other in his eighties) and their wives/families, all from the same one of the many local congregations around here, received personalized invitations to attend this year's (this weekend's?
) annual meeting.
I attended one of those meetings back in the sixtes in Philadelphia on the way to the ministry school at the farm in NY. I don't remember having an invite, we just went.

i expect no other grandparents to admit to this but here is a photo of little maddie from monday when she was giving grandpa some lip.
i put her in a chair across from me when i'm watching her and she loves to chatter away.
maddie is 7 months old now.. .

like lots of readers here, i take an entirely unhealthy interest in the doings of our resident prophet you know.
i notice that he's not been around for a month or two and this is a time of year he loves, he's always prophesying something for october!
so, why the silence?
He's taking time off to write a new thesis for the end this October. It's taking longer than usual because his imagination has about covered all the scenarios it could think up.
