i remember when i left jw's and started going to born-again christians(bac's) churches my "atheist" father laughed at me and told me that i would eventually leave bac's because like j.f.
rutherford said "religion is a snare and racket".
he said bac's and jws are just on an endless treadmill motivated by "fear" and not love for god into going to church/kh.
Littletoe, I wish I could have a relationship with God, but I can't understand his motives. If God did create the universe then I have to look at nature to understand him. I see two different sides to God, one beautiful and peaceful and another mean and disastrous. Which one is really his personality?

when i left jw's after finding about all of the "false" dates that was set for armaggeddon, i thought that they were the only ones that did this.
but since leaving the jw's and doing 15 years of "research" on all religions i found out that jw's are not the only ones that have giving false predictions.
the christian church is also guilty of this.
I haven't seen anything that has happened that was proven to be from the bible God or of the Jesus from the Greek scriptures. They can make all the dates they want but it will only be by accident if it happens. Have you seen anyone move a mountain by faith yet? Oh that was just an illustration. What isn't an illustration in the bible, or some spiritual meaning which has nothing to do with reality???

two weeks ago a very dear friend of 20 years had a heart attack.
he went to the hospital and they inserted three stents.
we all thought he was going to do well afterwards.
My good friend had a heart attack and his kidneys quit working also but he survived it and is now home doing good. I hope the doctors are wrong and your friend can survive. Wishing your friend good luck.

i didn't actually speak to them, because i was still in bed, but their presence certainly sent my dog barking like crazy.
If all man's suffering was caused by his disobedience why do animals suffer the exact same physical problems?

when i was growing up as a "devout" jw's i ran into countless of born-again christians(bacs) that would tell me i was going to hell, i was in a "cult", jw's were the "anti-christ" the wts was "satanic" and we were going to burn in the lake of fire for all eternity.
can you imagine how i felt as a jw's working at a place with 10 bacs telling me this at lunch time.
but still i would treat them nice and play cards with them and never openly judge them.

heard from a sister that a visitor to their cong (from usa) mentioned in passing that at the top at brooklyn they did not think that the reported number of anointed still alive was accurate, rather they believe that only a couple of hundred remain.
they apparently believe this points to the end soon (again) - also if it is true they are not proclaiming it (obviously because the time limit it imposes will be exposed as another failed date).
odd if that is the case as they keep on finding gb members who are not actually very old
I wonder how many genuine JWs are still in the congregations?

however we have found out that there is going to be an announcement sometime in september and it is supposed to be shocking.
It could happen any day now when some natural disaster happens, like the Yosemite park volcano blowing up, or an asteriod or something. I kind of think it might be due anytime now.

i just watched the wgn- chicago evening news.
i was so moved by the segment on the gates foundation.
bill and melinda gates have already donated 10 billion dollars to charity.
Jehovah will destroy them for their good actions,
Either Jehovah isn't good or he doesn't consider Gate's actions good because he could straighten out all those problems in a nanosecond if he chose to.
Maybe God does want us to cow down to those appointed old guys in Brooklyn and put WTs in the hands of all the suffering people on earth and then he will give them all paradise, real soon now.
