what god do 'we' believe in?
i am a believer at the moment i think.... .
firstly we are directed away from questioning just how god came into existance - why?
This doesn't make any sense to me.
Starving children in Africa for instance. They live short miserable lives. yet they are maybe the lucky ones are they not?They don't have to endure a world full of hate and war as we do. They live a short life then go to God. I'd say thats mercy
God's mercy and love is shown by having children suffer and die while young? I hope he doens't show me that kind of mercy.

i had gone to walmart to get a new pair of shoes and when i was comming down the street to my house i saw a car pull up the street above my house and just had a feeling it was the jws.
my grandson was in the house and didn't answer the door but they left the religion tract behind the door.. i guess the end is nearer now that i got the tract but all religion has ended for me anyway.. ken p..

This thing of passing on to someplace else is kinda mind-boggling. The universe is so complex I just wonder what else is comming our way.
There have been so many religious explainations over the centuries that I can't accept. maybe I should start my own.
Let's see...Some great God crapped and it fell in the universe and it became the earth. Some egg hatched out of it and we became in his image and messed up the whole earth. Sometime in the future, real soon now He will remember to flush the toilet and if we don't jump out we will go down with it, and that will be the end of all false religion.
Needs some work, but I did get it from some spirits I drank the other day and had a vision.

I guess you could blame that on God too since he was trying to prove a point to the devil and let him cause the wind to kill them.
i heard a knock at the door just now and i open it up and its a lady, all by herself with a folder.
she tells me she is doing volunteer work along with thousands of other people around the world to help mankind.
she says volunteers have been sent out into all parts of the worls, including the jungle, eygpt and the middle east...yes, the jungle.
What do the JWs think will result from the "End of false religion" tract distribution? Do any of you have a quote from the Borg?

i just read scully's thread about returning money from the atm.
it reminded me of how common it is for hohos to do a kindness, or to return found items, then explain that 'the reason i'm so honest is that i'm a jw and we're honest people, blah blah'.
this was always disturbing to me, as though we had to draw attention to the fantasy that we were different from others and it felt like we had lost our humanity--i now realize how true that is.
My brother got a call a while back and someone had found his wallet down town. It had money in it and all of it was returned, he bought this guy lunch for his good deed. There are good people all around.

this evening i went for a walk near the mouth of the bega river, several kilometres from my place.
i enjoyed the peace and took a few photos.. for several years the pelicans here were my concern (keeping an eye on them and occationally capturing them to remove fish hooks and the like.
while there a duck billed mud stinky arrived.
Thanks for the pics. I love to sit in my backyard and listen to the birds sing. I don't recognize too many of them but sometimes I can whistle like them and they will answer back. I bought a CD where I can look them up if I'm not too lazy. We have had Geese come into our area by the thousands in the last few years. We had a nest of Finches on our pourch this year and they raised two batches of little ones.

mmm, this is my favorite time of year in texas!
our trees aren't as brilliantly colorful as new england's, but they do turn colors, the weather cools off, our electric bill is cut at least in half, my roses explode with blooms one last time before winter, there is a golden glow as the sun sets, and i get the cooking bug.
today i'm making homemade bread, clam chowder, sauteed and baked chicken breasts (2/3 of which will be used for homemade chicken enchiladas in a couple of days) and a pumpkin pie.
The trees are beautiful here in NC and Va. I think it was the best fall I have ever seen. We drove up in the mountains two or three times to just enjoy the show.

i don't often open up discussions on my beliefs or experiences in life, but i feel a need, so please excuse me if you feel it untoward.
neither is this a poxy swan-song, i'm just opening up my heart a little.. today i had cause to reflect on a conversation i had with my [now ex-]wife shortly after my epithany.
everything was so new and unknown.
I'm still waiting for my experience to come to me.
