i just finished watching martha stewart and after it went off there was a set of commercials before the news came on and i swear i just saw a commercial from the christian congregation of jehovahs' witnesses!.
it was about raising your children with knowledge and love.
it showed a teen girl on the internet in a chat room with a person who had become her best friend and wanted to meet her in person and they said something like if it seems too good to be true it is..'love builds happy familys' was the slogan or something.. .
and they said something like if it seems too good to be true it is..
might this include the promise that "soon" the world will be a perfect peaceful paradise with no war, no sickness, no death, no religion and absolutely most definately no apostates?? Just wondering
i'm here to report that there's a nest of apostates gathered at my house right now!!!

i can handle any other bug, snakes, mice, etc....but get me near a spider, and i nearly have a breakdown.. this morning, i went to grab some clothes from the bathroom to wash, felt something crawling on my arm, looked down, giant, hairy, brown spider.
i still have the heebie-jeebies, and i probably woke up the neighbors.. *shudder*.
Tink, sorry about that :) I was just being playful, didn't mean to give you the willys heebie jeebies creepy crawlies ;( But just imagine if you'd actually seen the TV show! Ooops.
ok, well my brother is really the only one in my family that continues to freely associate with me.
he is two years younger than me (19) and has always looked up to me-for some reason.
he has been dating a girl name tess for the last couple months or so in the traditional dub fasion (barely any contact).
any able-bodied person not working is a waste...ooops

I was 5 when the jw lady came to the house and my mom fell for it straight away.
in the light of day, and over a nice cup of tea, sanity returns.
the problems which once seemed so big are reduced to their correct proportions, and i am left feeling more than a little embarassed over my role in the events of the past 24 hours.
i didn't realize i had a drama queen buried inside waiting to be activated.
I missed whatever happened and don't need to know but I do have to say that I cannot imagine this board without Big Tex / Cruzanheart. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.
Now then, go ahead and flame me for that. I'll leave. I will dammit. I'm not joking!
i work in a very small shop and the secretary has been the owner's mother-in-law.
sadly, she has been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks and in fact the family was summoned to the hospital late this afternoon and apparently she doesn't have long to live.
who knows what tomorrow will bring.
Just a quick update (not that anyone's keeping up with this though).
Betty passed away last Saturday evening and her funeral was today. As was noted during the service this morning, you could describe her best with just one word, sweet. That's what everyone thought of her and she and I got along quite well and like everyone else, I'll miss her too. Her family is pretty broken up now and that was hard to see. I've been working there for 5 1/2 years and this is the 3rd person at the shop to pass away. The original owner, Jack (a Pearl Harbor survivor), the other part time secretary Opal, and now Betty. It really has become like family in some ways and this is just part of being family I guess.
Death sucks.
