All I know is that the bible doesn't teach that I'll be judged for something they did.
My question still stands, what happened in the bloody Garden of Eden?
for the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin.

i got a chance to witness to my dad scripture for scripture for one whole hour over the holidays.

ok third rant since last night.
a "demonstration" was given on how to give some brochures and in this demo it starts:.
"hi im suchandsuch and im one of jehovahs witnesses".
the word god is defined a certain way and asking the person to list those properties can proove nothing.
Exactly bohm, a very dishonest way on the part of the Watchtower to programme publishers to avoid having an actual conversation with the householder and just talking about their god.
My second way of answering the question on 'what attributes would god have', would probably be winding them up.
"He'd have long blonde hair, the power to fly, a hammer, and the power to cause thunders."
or
"He'd have a penchant for mischief."
for the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin.

Right, but you still will be judged for some sin someone committed at some point in history, somewhere, some time ago. I don't know, I'm just riffing here.
Btw, you "don't know" about Adam and Eve? What happened in the bloody Garden of Eden?

Thankfully the bible doesn't teach this.
So what's the deal with A&E?

I personally have a problem with god condemning all of us for the sin of two people and then deciding to torture his son to make up for it. That is child abuse.

if you did believe in God what kind of attributes would you expect him to have?
If the god gave me free will I would expect him/her to mind his/her own business and leave me alone to live my life.
I'm not sure about scriptures, what do you think of Deuteronomy 20:13-17, where god orders a genocide, not sparing even young children? Or maybe Numbers 31:14-18 where Moses basically said, "Kill everyone but the virgins."

I'm not a sinner, thanks very much. Neither are any of you.
No loving deity would employ guilt or fear to be worshipped.
ok so you had a bad experience and you stopped going to church which ever one that is.
but did you stop believing or are you that peeved you blame god etc.
i would encourage you to humble yourself before your messiah and seek him, he will let himself be found by you and come dwells within you.
I'm happy and content, have never been better. I've freed my life from dogma, myth, and superstition.
I'm constantly in awe of the natural world through what I learn from science, from an evidence-based world view, which saves me from wasting a lot of time with fairy tales.
I no longer fear a celestial North Korean tyrant watching my every step waiting for me to make a mistake. I'm free to discuss different ideas with people, to disagree with them, and to learn from facts, not fiction.
There is nothing better than using reason, rather than sentimentality or fear, to live my life by.
there's quite a lot on tv just now about jesus.
i'm not sure anymore....was he the son of god, or just generally a good person?.
i'm not atheist or agnostic but i just want something real and true..
What Did Jesus Do? Reading and Unreading the Gospels? by Adam Gopnik, The New Yorker.
It's a long but worth read on scholars' views of the Gospels, the historical Jesus, and the theology developed around him.
dear brothers.
after some struggling with trying to make the bible's account of creation square with the physical evidence presented by science i was so pleased to recieve the latest awake magazine (march 2014) via jw.org with it's lead article "the untold story of creation".. your detailed article provided vast amounts of credible and scientifically based evidence that counters even the most determined of evolutionists.
this article shall be an absolute blessing in the ministry and shall no doubt be instrumental in changing the minds of countless ones we meet.. the material is certainly new, detailed and clearly presents more than compeling evidence of as yet unknown arguments and evidence for creation that are irrefutable.
Making convenient statements whilst rejecting established scientific facts is a sign of dishonesty, to say the least. Nothing new there, but more and more people should read about these subjects from authoritative, reliable sources.
Life is too short to be based on superstition.
They promote creationist ideas and then lie saying they are not creationists. They say their interpretation of the Genesis creation myth "harmonizes with scientific discovery" and then say god created a perfect man and woman. They really don't think much of the rank and file. It's sad that these are scared into not looking outside the controlled information walls.
