by Simon ini'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

"America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms," Gadahn said in a videotape reported by CNN. "You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?"
That's either a lie, or Gadahn was misinformed. It didn't stop Democrats from repeating his lie to fearmonger in order to further their ends, however. Which raises the question: either they themselves are lying by repeating this misinformation, or they are crafting legislation without knowing what is already on the books. It's full of fail either way.

What other gun legislation was voted on today Burn?
There were several amendments voted on, as I said. One was Manchin-Toomey. Another was the Feinstein AWB. Another was a magazine ban. There were others. Reid pulled the bill since they all failed. The one that came closest was Manchin-Toomey, and it was a terrible piece of legislation.

I agree Giffords is a dupe, and McCain, and a bunch of other people in DC. They all get armed protection. Incidentally, Gifford's husband got busted buying an AR15 recently. Gun control for thee, but not for me.

Yes it did. There were multiple votes on multiple amendments. The Manchin-Toomey amendment was just one of several this afternoon. It was a gun grabber bonanza.
