  Viv Moritz? Australian experience?

  can anybody here from australia fill me in on this guy?

  i did the search thing and the only thing i could find seemed to imply that he had been shipped off here to poland to avoid problems there.

  i talked to him at a ca in warsaw and he seemed kind of 'off'... it also seemed to me that he had lots of 'handlers'.

  Max Larson I guess.

  John Wilson passed away last year - about july/august. So did his wife. I also thought he was an OK person until I had dealings with him, then found him to be very arrogant and quite nasty - maybe bitter at the end.

  I remember after a visit to the homeland Don McLean mentioning in a talk how much more polite Canadian kids were than Aussie kids - didn't go down too well. His wife was a funny one. She was a model when he met her - not really in the 'truth' and he was the new blood from Canada. I think most QLDers thought he was American :-)

  I believe it was Dave Madzay's visit to gay bars that go thim into trouble - unless I was misinformed. There was a rumour that he died of AIDS - but rumours are plentiful in those situations and are mostly just rumours. I believe JW leaving Bethel was tied to that - but that's also a rumour. I've also heard rumours re the Mouritz's rumour - but it was also just a rumour. I only ever had dealings with John and although I was very young at the time I definitely picked up on something squidish...

  does anyone here have any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the watchtower bible and tract society?

  mom gave a lot of money to the watchtower bible and tract society over her lifetime- (6 figures).

  after she ran low on funds she made a 5 figure "conditional loan" to wtb&ts.

  Hwang has been proven to be a nationaslistic fraudster, intersted only in his own fame for having put Korea on the scientific map - so to speak. Any scientist or university willing to work with him would have to have the same lack of ethics. His hospital performance after having been found out on his last effort was worthy of an oscar though.

  Suicide - How many do you know within the JWs

  thw wts likes to play games with their statistics.

  one interesting but truly tragic is the number of jwhovah's witnesses who commit suicie.. now i suspect that if a person commits suicide shortly before or after they are disfellowshipped then the elders would say that person wasn't a witness or that they had done something so terrible that they were too guilty to admit it and by their action of committing suicide they pretty much declared they were no longer a jw.. yup fancy talk to make sure any crap didn't fall on them.. so my question.. do you know of cases like this?

  if so then can you answer a few more questions.. had this person been dfed or in real danger of being dfed or whatever the equivalent is if they were never baptized?.

  this is a sugestion i have to all members of this board ,members from all over the world, to let the victorian government in australia know that the world is concerned about protecting the children of victoria ,and theirby setting a precedent for the rest of the world, who are interested in the outcome of the criminal charges against the religion of jehovah`s witnesses in refusing to abide by the legislation to get "working with children checks"when required to do so.correct me if i`m wrong but i think if all of us sent letters to the newspapers here in australia ,the different members of parliment here,we would demonstate that the victorian judicial system here is under scrutiny to do the right thing in the eyes of the world.. we all complain that the wtb&ts/jehovahs witnesses is a cult religion that sucks,destroying family relationships,here is a chance to do something about it.

  whether you agree with steven unthank or not,here is an opportunity to stick up for the children of jehovah`s witnesses and every other child that a witness calls on in their door to door ministry.. what do you think ?.

  I certainly can't speak for her, however I do know that she has been quite forthcoming in the past about being raised as a JW - and some of the consequences.

  I do believe there was a TV program not too long ago where she focused quite extensively on her young life. I did not see this - only heard about it. Something on SBS I think. This is just information I know( in response to a request for suggestions); how/if it is used is up to whomever is organising/using the information gathered.
