i was raised in and i am currently on active status due to most of my family being very much in, but i am so ready to be done and have felt that way for quite some time.

I love ALL of your answers. Wayyyy to familar to me. Perfect1... I live with my grandma still and she says that ALL THE STINKING TIME. Ijust smile and nod my head like a good JDub. Oh and Magwitch... you just said EXACTLY everything my mom said.

Why did you pick the name you have now
by label licker injust wondering if your name describes what you saw, how you were treated when you were "in" or now "out", maybe your personality, ect.... i'm label licker and the why i picked this name was because of all the licking up one side of elders and down the other to either be an elder or ministerial servant.
one time i was standing right in front of this brother who wasn't made an ms yet and he totally ignored me and talked right over my head speaking really loud trying to catch the co's attention.. got sick of watching the poor elderly sitting all alone or standing against the wall like a wall flower with noone to talk to and yet all these label lickers would take turns picking up the elders elderly parents and take them shopping and do their groceries at least four times a week while out in service, yet, there was noone there to take a meal to a sister who just got out of the hospital with a heart attack.
when i had shown up at her apartment with a meal she asked if i could wash her private and change her bandages.

Because I'm still active but mentally out. I have ONE foot (step) out the door, now I just have to have the courage to move the other foot and learn to walk again. 93 because well, born in 93 duh. ;)

JW preached to me not knowing I'm still in...
by OneDayillBeFree inso i was working at my 2nd job today in a store and i was the cashier for most of the day.
it's been about 2 weeks since i've been to a meeting & i hadn't shaved so i had a somewhat hipster-ish stubbly beard going on.
also my hair has gotten slightly longer, nothing noticeable to the world but something that would turn a few heads at the kingdom hall.

For me it was "Well, you have to remember, they're worldly"... "Don't trust anyone who isn't in the truth" "They may be nice but they are not friends of Jehovah"... just a few to name. Or when they saw a video game I liked or a movie with magic they would call it "gross" or "disgusting".

Hey Friends. If you don't know me, I'm Lexi, a born-in, 19 years old, living with my JW grandma still physically in but mentally out. Anyways, went to Sunday AND Monday meetings, couldn't stand either of them. Was pretty funny though bc a brother broke the seat he was sitting in and on Monday night's meeting the mics stopped working completely haha. My grandma and her friend were gossiping beside me about a disfellowshipped woman (for shame) and about this other woman my grandma says she can't stand and calls "miss smarty pants" (though she tells me to get along with the SUPER Spiritual little miss perfect). Ugh. And this Thursday I have my sucky study (yep that's right, a study...can't wait for it to be over..). Almost puked last night because they were talking about (again) how kids should spend their time out in service instead of having fun at home and only being friends with people who are spiritually strong who you have nothing in common with. Geez. And how we should only be friends with people who's hearts are molded like Jehovah's... PUHLEAZE. It took all my strength not to roll my eyes.
OH I WAS THINKING OF DYING THE TIPS OF MY HAIR PINK AND BLUE AND SHOWING UP TO MEETING! What do you think? ;)
