Randy in your experience what are the top two psych issues people exiting are interested in ? I could write a couple for your site, I haven't written anything in many years. My one post you had on JW's a threat to the social family fabric got translated into several languages and I got a lot of people over the years write to me.

Any therapist worth their salt would tell you their constant mind programming causes depression. They create double binds that have no rational way out. In plain English they take away critical thinking to make wise personal choices. This leads to cognitive dissonance a form of an inner split. For example, "Jehovah's People live in a spiritual paradise" that statement if full of presuppositions such as.
We are the only blissful place to live in
If I feel depressed or bad I must not be spiritual enough
If I see the political corruption in the congregation I must be suffering a Satanic seduction
etc.

i'm doing research for an article of writing on why jw's are clinging on to the religion regarless of the pain and dysfunction.
those of you that remember me know i have written on this subject for many years.
i have not written an article on this topic for over nine years and i wanted to create a relevant post based on the current dynamics and theology.
Iconclast that I think is a generational trait as well as those who never got an education and learned how to do critical thinking. One other group I think that would give that response is those who suffer from very low self esteem and no concept of self and self determination.
