Jesus categorically said that there would not be a genuine organized group of his people till the end of the world. (Mathew 25:31-46) There would be individuals here and there who are disciples in their hearts.

Adam and Eve received fake news, says the Pope...
by James Mixon ini like the pope he's a funny guy...but did satan give adam and eve fake news, i don't think so....

Pope is right in doubting Adam and Eve account which is obviously an interpolation through a parallel account of creation. (Gen 2:4-3:18) This parallel account is from a patriarchal mindset which wanted to project woman as the cause of suffering and hence should be under the domination of man. (Gen 3:16).
Genesis chapter 1 clearly says God created Mankind (not an individual), and blessed condition continued for a long time. (Gen 1:26-2:3) How mankind developed egoistic tendencies which brought the end of blessed condition of the paradise earth is symbolized through the story of Adam.

The Preaching Method Has Flip-Flopped Again
by pale.emperor inim currently reading a book called jehovah's witnesses: portrait of a contemporary religious movement (https://www.amazon.co.uk/jehovahs-witnesses-portrait-contemporary-religious/dp/0415266106).the researcher is a social scientist, was never a jw, who studied with the witnesses solely to write this book.
his research has been quite thorough and objective which is commendable.he mentioned in the book how rutherford didn't want his colporters (pioneers) giving their own sermons or bible interpretation, but instead he had them going door to door with his records.
(i have some converted to mp3, they're very boring).

Their sticking to house-to-house mode of preaching was like still resorting to boat when there is a bridge now just because the founder of religion used boat as there was no bridge then.
Today if the whole world is to be thoroughly witnessed to it is only a matter of months when all modern forms of telecommunication are made use of.

A perfect guidebook ? Really
by CovertsadJW inif jehovah is a “ perfect “ god and our everlasting life is in the balance - why then does a perfect god give us a very imperfect guide book “ bible “ one that is open for interpretation hundreds - or more - different ways.
if you look at it as an instruction book , it most likely is the worst written instruction book in mankind’s history.
i cannot interpret an instruction book on “ flying a plane “ , it only has one interpretation as your life depends on it , but alas it was written by imperfect men.

Sometimes It contains irrational answer to very important question. Here is one:
"As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." (John 9:1-3)
Jesus just missed an important opportunity to answer a very important question. There is no glory in God creating this man blind from birth and after many years giving him sight. What about other people who are born with similar disabilities?

Natural disasters cause the most grief and misery today
by nowwhat? inits not wars caused by satan and man.
its hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and tornadoes!
so the logical question is jesus showed he can control the weather when on earth.

Half Banana,
You must again read the first sentence of my comments (“I read in between the lines, events and isms, and this is my conclusion”). When there are many conflicting isms and religions, I am under no obligation to follow any one of them; but I am free to read in between them to reach my own conclusion, and what I wrote is my conclusion. Regarding my past life, I have proof about my case. When I myself was subjected to Past Regression, I came to know that in the past life I was a Spanish nun who was finally martyred as a Franciscan Missionary of Mary which I later verified and found of its every detail as true. Also, among other things my belief in God also got confirmed through my Past Regression.

I read in between the lines, events and isms, and this is my conclusion:
Looking at events at an Olympic swimming pool, one cannot conclude swimmers are the emergent properties of the swimming pool.
Looking at things such as flowers, varied fruits and grains … that match our varied tastes I must conclude that they have been put in place for our enjoyment.
Looking at the increasing population also one can discern certain things. Every seed/species reproduces its own kind, and everyone reaps what he sows. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38) This would mean every one receives varying rewards according to the nature of their deeds. When the old world ends, all the souls return to heaven, as though children returning for home from play ground, and remain there till the new world is recreated/renewed on earth (Mathew 19:28), and start coming down to play in certain order. And cycle repeats.
In other words, life cannot have any meaning. We descend to play and return home. Thus descending and returning alternate eternally. Certain degree of order makes life enjoyable; and simultaneously certain degree of disorder such as diseases, natural calamities make us want to return home. We cannot go on drinking/eating something sweet without its sweetness being felt diminishing. But when we alternate with something not sweet--we take a sip then have something not sweet, again have a sip ..., we enjoy sweetness again, and again. Principle is shown also by day and night. How boring it would be if we have only night.

Couple of real gems in the WT study for this upcoming weekend
by sir82 insince blondie seems to still be on sabbatical, i'll take the liberty of highlighting a couple of "gems" from this week's upcoming study, from the article "reject worldly thinking".. from paragraph 12:.
is it true that succeeding in a secular career that offers power and prestige leads to lasting happiness?
remember that the craving to control others and the longing to be admired are the desires that enticed satan, but he is angry, not happy.. .

the craving to control others and the longing to be admired are the desires that enticed Satan
First thing, Satan doesn't exist. Even he exists, the above points make no sense. He is invisible beings--whatever he does, no one would admire him. In the minds of people He is a symbol of evil, and in their vocabulary the word Satan amounts to hate, curse ..... You call someone "Satan." It will end up in a fight.

Babylon The Great and JWs
by Ireneus injws teach babylon the great is the whole empire of false religion.
interestingly, bible’s definition of it would include jws also because it is the entity “that rules over the kings of the earth.” (rev 17:18) since revelation is given in symbols (rev 1:1) “kings” cannot be literal, but can mean minds of people because mind acts like king over everyone’s bodily kingdom.. no one exerts power over the minds of jws like their gb does.
just like members of other religions blindly follow what their leaders teach, jws too do—even when changes that are introduced under the guise of “new light” are virtually numerous.

MrRoboto, that's interesting.
People who claimed as God’s own, when they turned unfaithful, were described as “harlot” by prophet Isaiah. (Isaiah 1:21) Interestingly, Jesus makes no mention of God’s own people existing as organized ones till the end of the world. (Mathew 25:31-46)

A harlot sells her own flesh in exchange for something else. Religions sells their very essence, the very meaning of the word ‘religion’ (from “re-ligare,” Latin, to “re-connect”) by poorly depicting God which repels rather than attract the logical minds. For example, religions teach that God gives eternal pleasure in heaven or eternal suffering in hell on the basis of a short life lived on earth, or permits souls to merge with Him which means extinction.

Crazyguy,
The scripture you have in mind is Jeremiah 7:31 where God reveals His position with regard to human sacrifices--"something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind."
