  Massive hints against alcohol

  in the most recent assembly there were several heavy hints about not drinking alcohol at all.

  saying that it doesn't give a good witness or would stumble others.. is this a new "unwritten directive?.

  so on the jw broadcast channel, there is a new 4 minute video entitled "why does god permit suffering".

  i won't give them free advertising by linking to it, but you'll find it under the "latest videos" section.. it looks like it will be something that will eventually be used in field serve-us as a video to show householders.. anyway, it gives the illustration of the teacher and a "rebellious student" who says he has a "better way to solve the problem".

  the infinitely wise teacher allows him to try, he fails, and the teacher is "vindicated".. other posts on this site demonstrate how inane the illustration really is - it breaks down nearly effortlessly.. anyway, the video goes on to explain that god allowed "rebellious humans" to continue on because (more or less direct quote) "millions of angels were observing.

  Hey Boss. That Satan guy in Shipping keeps screwing things up, and all our orders are going out wrong. We're getting a lot of complaints from our clients. Can't we do something about him?

  Well, Mr. Angel, I'd like to, but in order to prove to the rest of the company that I am the boss and that I know what's best for all employees, I'm going to let Mr. Satan, and his department, continue to run Shipping how they see fit, for the time being. Oh I have a time table in mind, and it's soon, but not yet. By the time I act, everyone will see that I was right and he was wrong, and no one will try to change our shipping operations again. Make sense to you, Mr. Angel?

  Um, I think I'll tender my resignation, effective immediately.

  Go bust, as in 'out of business'? Unlikely. They may downsize, they may reorganize, but the religion will continue to do the same thing it has always done - reinvent itself in order to stay relevant (at lease relevant to people who believe in it)

  Now - here's a fantasy to dwell on for a couple of minutes.... what if the entire GB were arrested for fraud, cover up, something, anything... the kind of scandal that brings down powerful leaders and icons.

  Oh sure, there'd be a few diehards that would refuse to accept the reality, but by and large, for many it would be the catalyst to dig deeper and realize the folly of their belief system.

  Highly unlikely to happen, but oh well, it's fun to think about for a couple of minutes anyway

  The strange case of Gerrit Losch

  one of the recent molest cases had a signed declaration of gerrit losch, stating he has no relation with watchtower and that he has no control over watchtower and he does not answer to watchtower.. this month he is hosting the watchtower broadcasting show, on a watchtower media chanel, with a watchtower president starring as co-host, with statements, media and music that have intellectual ownership and copyright by watchtower.. gerrit is asking on broadcasting for respect for “the slave”, just like jehova and jesus respect “the slave” and will even reward them.. are the writers of the statement too stupid to see the correlation between teaching and practicing?.

  these man are proven liars.. how can hold this firewall stand?

  it’s so thin.. a judge can see this mismach isn’t it??.

  When you say, 'midweek meeting video', does this mean that each and every congregation (in the US at least) sits and watches this tripe?

  Is this a weekly thing now? Watch a video of a crazy person instead of having live speakers and demonstrations?

  so i have been awake since about this time in 2013, so about 5 years.

  and the craziest thing about it is that now, no one, and i mean no one know's i am an apostate.

  meaning, that i don't believe the jw minds set/beliefs at all, and no one knows it.

  Do you hum the James Bond theme when you go into the hall? You can introduce yourself to visitors as, 'Field. Leveltheplaying Field.'

  Seriously though I get what you're saying. Movies make the spy game look glamorous but in the real world it's anything but. Even on the level of being an apostate spy, which is not as nearly as dangerous as being an MI6 or CIA Operative, you have to constantly stay on guard, watch your back, not trust anyone. It is tiring and depressing.

  Hopefully one day you can lose your Double 0 status and enjoy your freedom. Good luck.
