Pioneers Living With Married Couple

so ... situation:.

a baptized married couple, with no privileges that we know of, have opened their home to 2 unmarried regular pioneers because of the pioneers' financial issues (limited income).. - husband works from home.

- wife doesn't work and stays home or in service.

Probably is a matter of reputation. Unmarried singles from the opposite sex living under one roof.

that was my first thought as well. Charity comes in a distant 2nd or 3rd to the reputation of the Organization. If any charity or good deeds can bring into even the slightest question as to some untoward conduct, then it's best to avoid.

So, for argument sake, let's say the pioneers leave this couple's home. They both find apartments elsewhere. Just so happens those apartments are in the same building. An old Victorian home turned into 4 or 5 apartments. What then? They're still 'technically' under the same roof, though in separate 'rooms'. No real difference than bunking in the couples home - is it? Where's the line of difference?

Joel Osteen's Church is a Cult too ??

it's being said all over social media that joel osteen hasn't opened his mega church for refuge during the storm, pictures are showing this area is not flooded.

i made a few comments myself saying that the jws only help their own in time of need but this god fearing man isn't helping anyone.. just what religion is he and his followers, i guess it's one of those non-denomination churches that collect a shitload of bucks to him and wife so he can afford the glamorous life, nothing new of course, i thought he was just a bit different than the others, fooled me..

I saw the photos of the streets around the arena, and yea, looks good comparatively speaking. But these arenas have levels below the street. It is possible that the lower levels below street level were flooded, making it dangerous to bring people into the building.

And then I heard later that they were going to open it. I don't know the actual facts, but I do know this -

Whether he opens his mega-church to the needy or not, doesn't matter - he's still a charlatan and a crook.

it's only a matter of time of course..... jw rumor mills will start up soon, with stories of how jws were "first on the scene" as the flood waters receded..... how the red cross and/or us national guard and/or doctors without borders and/or [you name it] were marveling at just how "organized" the jws are..... how zealous jws were pulling their trolleys thru ankle-deep water to "offer comfort" to victims, by giving them - sandwiches?

to offer them comfort by giving them 16 page "magazines" to read in their spare time..... so as the stories start to come in, you can "deposit" those little nuggets of bs here.. once collected, we'll wrap them in a pretty bow and flush them away where other instances of pure manure go..

My general contractor recently had a JW working in my home -- he was one of the worse tile/stone artisans I've ever had!
I told my GC not to send any JWs to my house - I don't trust them!

I've seen some shoddy JW tradesmen and contractors as well. But - I know some JWs who are excellent at their craft, and do quality work at a fair price, and would not hesitate to hire them to do work for me, should I need their expertise. Basically, they're the same as any other group, when it comes to trustworthiness, skill, and experience.

I don't get the problem with expecting that the person who does get their house repaired to give some of the insurance money. Insurance is to make a person whole not to be a windfall for the recipient.

I don't get that the supposed organizer of volunteers who rush to help those in need expects payment. That's not charity or relief work... that's commerce.

How do you find reddit

just curious but how do the people off this forum find reddit.

for myself i find reddit to be sadly lacking in the jw world.

i just don't find the depth there e.g one sentence replies, trying to be funny.

I drop in at reddit once in awhile. Even created a logon name...and promptly forgot the password.

I see a lot of kids on the reddit exjw feed. I mean 'kids' by ages of anywhere from 12 to 20, struggling with coming to terms with being raised in a cult and trying to find a way out from under their parent's control. I've read more than a few instances of teens being kicked out of the house when they declared they were done with being a JW. I'd never really realized how awake the young generation had become. The Internet has really been a dagger in the heart to the WTS method of indoctrinating young people.

Current JW Go Fund Me requests

this topic was discussed a few years ago and i thought i would have a look to see what is going on with go fund me's by jws.

i am astounded that there are a great deal more jws requesting money than there were a few years ago and even by pioneers.i've only looked in detail at a few jw go fund me requests but came across this one that i am stunned about on a number of levels.. my little maryhello friends.

Scam artists have existed in the congregations for years. JWs are, generally speaking, a gullible bunch. I mean, they bought the WTS BS, right? Anyhoo... because they buy into the 'worldwide brotherhood' bit, and really want to believe they are a special group, whenever someone moves into a congregation, they're pretty much accepted as legit, just because they have the requisite books and attire. I've several instances where people moved in, played the role, took people for money, possessions, then moved on down the line. It wasn't until it was too late before someone had the audacity to question motives among other dubs.
