So is there anyone that has this audio or that can confirm it. The convention is over now so i am sure someone out of the thousands of people there would have found those points to be unsettling. Someone please post some audio or more notes

Gerrit Loesch was at our DC today!
by goatshapeddemon inso, unexpectedly, the final talk was announced today and to my surprise and evil glee, they announced gerrit loesch as the speaker!
first off, at the beginning of his talk, he interrupted himself in the middle of his sentence to scold the microphone brother to lower my mike it's right in my face.. anyway, it was the talk on inspired truth, vs. inspired falsehoods.
he went through 6 expressions inspired by the demons.

Why is God speaking in riddles?
by sosoconfused init seems for most of the bible that god spoke directly to people and told them what to do.
he wrote things on rocks.
he gave them laws.

8 year old still understands the gospel... I dont think the god that Jesus spoke about would kill her. so apparently the riddles are there just for fun.

Anyone else an Ex Bethel "volunteer"
by BackseatDevil ini was wondering if there were any other ex-bethelites on here.
i personally regularly went for temporary work at brooklyn then was assigned to the farm for a year and a half.
it was... one of the most bizaare experiences of my life.. so i wrote it all down (finally, after some 15 years) so i won't bore anyone on here with the details of the story - because bethel doesn't show up until chapter 15... and for you straight folks, it gets a bit gay in two places... but nothing gross.

Yes I use to eat at the ethiopian place like 5 doors down from Bossert LOL. I would go to Manhattan but if you were spotted in SoHo it was like a quick way to get sent home. I must admit I did love the fun one could have outside of the place but afterwhile you always had to remember that you had to go back to the monastery and act like nothing happened :(

Genuine repentance - if you can fake that you'll avoid getting disfellowshipped
by slimboyfat into paraphrase a well known saying.
is it true, in a judicial committee, if you can fake repentance, then they are likely to let you off being disfellowshipped, almost regardless of the "severity" of the sin involved?
can former elders and perhaps victims of the process shed light on the matter?

Not sure what you mean Londo but repentence is exactly what was looked for...
As a matter of fact nothing else weighs more heavily then if the person is repentant.
Atleast according to the Shepherd book and the way we went about handling those cases. When you had the guy who was disfellowship happy the others would often try to correct his thinking. However some congregations may have been unique. I noticed that congregations with mostly older elders who had been serving since the early 80's and back were real a**holes and wanted to see everyone rot.

DC Drama stirs up drama of it's own!!!

It is pretty pathetic that a God of love is somehow offended when a child holds their fathers hand during a prayer.
Obviously made up garbage by Watchtower. Yet so many people are able to swallow it whole without question

I asked a friend of mine at Bethel if he had heard any talk about something "special" that Loesch said at the convention about pedophiles. He said "no". It is still possible they were not listening closely or because I am on everyones apostate list that he won't tell me anyway LOL

That is true. Also another way to not get disfellowshipped even if you do not show repentence is to be a female LOL. But really it seemed like all the women we had cases with once they started crying its like all the elders looked at each other and all got droopy face and lilterally tried to lead them to repentence.
Literally, one sister just didn't give two F*($)... yet the brothers led her to repentence LOL.
What a joke. It did help that she had a humongous booty and was so cute you could eat off her face.

Is it just me or does "Brother Lett" seem extremely fake and phoney in his delivery. If he were at my door I would think he was seriously on some uppers... I guess it is true you "never graduate from the Theocratic Ministry School".
More importantly why do all the GB have super-flashy pinky rings?
