  i often wonder if jw`s on these sites consider them "apostate" especially with regards to many topics?

  do you ignore topics that could possibly test your faith?

  how do you not wonder about your religion with all the information that is available to you now that proves this sekt invalid?

  Well no Beans, I don't think it is. The WT have repeatedly said that they make mistakes, and are willing to acknowledge and rectify that fact. They don't cover up mistakes, I've read of many a 'guru' who preach 'holier than thou' and 'divine inspiration' but they don't believe it themselves or that they are that psychotic, they don't realize they've made a mistake, and then it's too late.

  I admire someone who is willing to admit they were wrong. Takes great courage, especially if the whole world is watching every move they make and just waiting for them to screw up. Shows humility.

  Beans,

  I study, so I'm not firm in the faith yet. But I believe. The bible speaks of false prophets carrying you off as prey and christianity splitting off into sects. So, sometimes I question, but I always feel that in the end, Jehovah, is right, the bible is right, humans make mistakes, as long as they're willing to ackowledge them and not cover them over. The WT at least do this.

  So I've searched for 8 years and I keep coming back to the same answer: Jehovah's Witnesses. So I'll never put my faith in man. I believe that the whole pedophile issue in all churches is coming out for a reason. There is so much corruption in religion, and in society, abuse of children, any type, is abhorred. So, maybe this is when the earth as a whole turns on religion.

  I can't help the way I feel, I feel so strongly, and I won't ignore my gut instincts. I've done that in the past and failed. Nearly destroyed myself for not listening to my feelings. I don't wanna do that again.

  How did you end up getting off the drugs? I'm a pot-head, lasted 8 days without it. Absolute hell for me! Anyways, can't give it up. Helps me to kinda blur the past and send it waaaayyyy back in my mind. Also helps with my depression. Ok, so how do you do it? Without taking up another crutch?

  its not good is it?

  it makes me so so sad that so many people in the org have been through the abuse thing, before coming on here i thought mine was an isolated case but when i joined these forums, it suddenly hit me about a father and his daughter and two sons being involved in an abuse thing many many years ago, i was very young, the mother took the kids away and became inactive and the father was disfellowsipped and eventually drifted away, there was a lot of gossip but no police involvement.

  i am now inspired to write my full story in great detail to silent lambs, although it will take a while to muster up the courage, its easy telling bits and pieces but to tell it fully is a different matter but i *will* do it, im very determined now.
