  of jesus.... as if he was someone they felt close to.. the bible repeatedly speaks of 1st century believers.

  Ok, here's the usual response for you: Have you checked the context in which you're reading? Have you cross-referenced with all other mentions of Christ's ransom, f.d.s and our salvation.

  Things will come together if you do.

  JW's in a show of respect, remember the death of Jesus every year the same as the apostles did: without eggs, bright colours, bunnies, hot cross buns and without the bloodshed of christanity's past! The value of the ransom has been taken away by their showy display and arogant attitude - they only care about ceremony and looking good for the public, not actually in Jesus' ransom.

  That's where jw's and other christians differ in my opinion.

  Sexual Harrassment on this board!

  hey posters!.

  i decided that seeing as though i was unfairly left out of the flame wars... my name was not mentioned... no not even once... and i gather this was because i have not harrassed anyone on this board!

  soooo this morning i started emailing a few of the ladies sexually harrassing them... this i found to be a long winded process so i figured it would be easier to post a communal post that sexually harrasses all the ladies in the forum!!!!.

  Ex-dubs you would rather not know

  once upon a time, in a place not so far away, there lived a frog.

  this frog wasnt your typical run of the mill frog though, but was a former jw frog, now disfellowshiped for not croaking the right way.

  the frog was managing to get by day to day but eventually heard of a community of other ex-jw individuals on the other side of a river.

  Put me down as a froggy and anyone I've ever helped, assisted, let cry on my shoulder...they're scorpions....stab me in the back the second they get a chance. Fortunately, I've not known too many of these types as I now know the signs of an arsehole.

  Some people are users...users of you time, emotions, ideas, beliefs, flexibility, kindness, patience, wealth. These people demand your attention and by any means they get it. Insults rule the roost with this lot. Oh and subtle, suck up remarks, to lull you into a false sense of security, you just know there's a nasty bite coming.

  we're all peers here, we're all adults, we should all know how to behave like one....well, no rephrase...we should all know when to behave like one!

  i don't know what's going on here, i obviously come here at the wrong time, when it's peaceful and quiet.

  everyone is entitled to their varying opinion, no matter how weak, unthoughtful, cold, stupid, ignorant, insightful, eye-opening you think it is.

  I luv to read everyone opinions, some really let go and say exactly how they feel, some hold back and that's ok...some like me, just like to act silly....that's perfectly ok. It's part of being human...the diversity.

  some comments on another thread got me thinking, are the certain areas of your house that are pretty much yours and not your spouses?

  i know some guys talk about how they love their garages and i know some women really love their bathrooms or kitchens, what about you?

  also, what have you got there that you don't really want to be disturbed very much?.
