I luv that song! But for some reason it always makes me sad.
elder: "the brothers (referring to gb) have advised that we read only the material provided by the faithful and dscreet slave.
you should read all of the watchtower and awake articles every time you receive a new one, as it shows respect and appreciation for the hard work the brothers have put in to creating it" .

I truly believe the bibles promise of paradise on earth. But, then again, I've only read NWT.
I believe in Jah and his purposes. However, it's the actual representatives on earth that irk me. Just as I'm sure a few faithful jews felt about the rest of the population!
Seems like it takes a few good apples, to keep the whole bunch from going bad......
Yes, Dung, I'm still confused. One minute, I love them and their promises, the next, I'm angry at the injustice of their policies. How much it hurts people and how they are not following Jesus' example. Makes me very sad that this religion I grew up in has somehow over the years, lost it's focus and goals

Well I never liked Playboy?????????? Maybe I should start appreciating the 'articles'
Anyway, so the last 2 wt studies have been from the 'Soon an End to Disabilities' mag. Dealing on the Malachi prophecy and the nation of Israels priests and how corrupt they were.
Last weeks discussion was on the priests of Jah's covenant organisation and how they cheated Jah out of what he deserved. Unclean sacrifices, dishonouring wives, greed etc. There was a point made the the elders who shepperd the flock now have to watch that they 'don't bring their own personal ideas into the talks, but to stick to the outline so as not to stumble anyone'. Nothing more was said.
So I'm sitting there fuming, because they won't even admit that it is actually happening now, and they are just skirting around the issue, to cover their hides. And I start to read the next study article and they have the hide to say that Malachi is fitting to Christendom!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello! Malachi was dealing with Jah's convenant people, The Israelites and their corrupt leaders, the Priests. Parrallel to today, you would think (as they apply every other bloody thing to the congregation, telling us to pull our socks up!), and you've got the corrupt leaders of Jah's so called covenant people, the Jehovah's Witnesses and Malachi is warning them that they'd better clean up their act because their judgment is going to be far more severe.
Somehow, the whole lot missed the point, or at least deliberately.
Brainwashing the great crowd into believing they are pious and more righteous than any priest was. Their high and mighty attitude will topple them and they WILL be judged severely for how they have treated 'the widow and the fatherless boy'! They are more corrupt in my book.

when i was 27 my brother held a bucks night party for my first marriage and we went to a strip joint.
de rigeure for the boys bucks night.
it was all a bit of a none event, so next night he brought around drugs to my house, marijuana.
New research suggests that even one dose of marjuana can trigger of psychiatric illness in suspectible people.
But I've never heard of that happening either, even to our drug-induced schizophrenic clients. I'd be inclined to believe also that it must have been laced with some hallucigen. And the fact that you were a virg to the whole experience woulda made it all the more potent.
Weed is much stronger than it used to be.....about 300 times stronger if what I've read is correct.
i have noticed that recently, when we have a visiting brother in our congregation, the speaker will ask him to return our "greetings" to the other congregation, as opposed to our "love".
i vagueley remember a brief announcement a few weeks ago, but i wasn't paying attention.
am i just tripping, or is this widespread?
At the weekend assembly the bro from Bethel requested that we send back our love to the bethel family and they sent theirs. Maybe wishes of love only applies to the 'mega-spiritual' and the rest of us sorry lot get hello!
i was sitting in my swing looking at the clouds, trees, birds, etc, and thought, what if there was nothing at all everywhere, no god, no space, nothing material or any deminsion, just plain nothing.
no space, light, sound, universe, life, thought........ am i going nuts?
ken p.
Well it wouldn't be black, no colour, tho isn't black supposed to be void of all colour? Or is that white...nah it's black.
Stop making me think so hard!
i'm curious to see if anyone here has any major anxiety disorders and how it affects their lives.
as a semi-confession, i think i may have something of this sort, but i'd like a comparison first.
being a male, i never go to the doctors unless my leg is falling off, so i don't just want to go to a doctor to medicate a problem that could be overcome in other ways.
Same symptoms as Incense
Sweaty palms
Erratic breathing and thinking
Fear of what others are thinking about you
And then there's the depression.......
ok, i have a question.. jesus said we should 'keep doing this in rememberance of me'.
and paul says 'until he arrives'.
hasn't jesus already arrived according to jw's in 1914. so shouldn't the celebration of the memorial have ceased as of this date?.
Will do Blondie. However, he may bite off more than he can chew with me....I have a million and one questions now, all thanx to this board!!!! and all ones that the brothers will have a hard time answering or will have no answer at all and tell me simply to wait patiently to see what happens!

Comments anyone? I'm confused......again!
the pentagon recently found it had too many generals and offered an early retirement bonus.
they promised any general who retired immediately his full annual benefits plus $10 000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two points on the general's body, with the general getting to select any pair of points he wished.. the first general was from the air force.
he asked the pension clerk to measure from the top of his head to the tip of his toes.

The first General was from the Air Force. He asked the Pension Clerk to measure from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. Six feet. He walked out with a cheque for $720 000.
The second man, an Army General, asked the Pension Clerk to measure from the tip of his up-stretched hands to his toes. Eight feet. He walked out with a cheque for $960 000.
The third General was a grizzled old Marine from Texas. He told the Pension Clerk "Son, I want you to measure from the tip of my penis all the way to my testicles."
The Pension Clerk suggested that perhaps the Marine General might like to reconsider, pointing out the nice cheques the previous two Generals had received. The Marine General insisted "No Sir, you heard right. Go ahead and measure."
The Pension Clerk said that would be ok, but that he'd better get a Medical Officer to do the measuring.
The Medical Officer attended and asked the General to 'drop em'. He did. The Medical Officer placed the tape on the tip of the Generals penis and began to work back.
"My God," he said, "where are your testicles?"
"Vietnam," the General replied.
........chorkel, chorkel, yuk, yuk.......don't blame me, not my joke!
