in its issue of march 1, 1925, the watch tower published the leading article entitled the birth of the nation which was the first announcement that there had been war in heaven after the gentile times ended in 1914 and that the devil and his angels had been cast down to our earth.
but this was further called attention to later in the article the king in action in the issue of september 15, 1925. this ousting of the devil and his angels from heaven had its effect upon the wild beast and its kingdom here on earth.
all this was forcefully presented in the book entitled deliverance, which was released on friday, may 28, 1926, at the international convention in london, england, after the conventioners adopted a resolution entitled a testimony to the rulers of the world.

Why did the article not mention the date World War One began?
From the Wikipedia:
World War I (WWI or WW1), also known as the First World War, was a global war centred in Europe that began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918.
the watchtower and the jws use the following reasoining to "prove" that elders are appointed by holy spirit.. 1) the bible was written under inspiration of the holy spirt.. 2) the bible requirements for and elder are followed when selecting and appointing elders.. 3) therefore, the elders are appointed by holy spirt.. thre is a logical flaw in this argument.. consider the following counter example.. suppose that a person obtains a book on medicine written by a doctor a, and that the person follows the instructions in the book concerning the writing a prescription.. 1) can the perscription that the person wrote be considered as having been written by doctor a?.
2) can the perscription that the person wrote even be considered as having been written under the direction of doctor a?.
the answer to both questions is "no.".
The Watchtower and the JWs use the following reasoining to "prove" that elders are appointed by Holy Spirit.
1) The Bible was written under inspiration of the Holy Spirt.
2) The Bible requirements for and elder are followed when selecting and appointing elders.
3) Therefore, the elders are appointed by Holy Spirt.
Thre is a logical flaw in this argument.
Consider the following counter example.
Suppose that a person obtains a book on medicine written by a Doctor A, and that the person follows the instructions in the book concerning the writing a prescription.
1) Can the perscription that the person wrote be considered as having been written by Doctor A?
2) Can the perscription that the person wrote even be considered as having been written under the direction of Doctor A?
The answer to both questions is "No."
The same answer applies to whether the Holy Spirit appoints elders.
So what is the logical error in the Watchtower's reasoning?
are there any direct quotes from the watchtower's literature that discourages investigation into their past doctrines and practices?.
From the 2013 Yearbook.
"Those seeds of truth doubtless included the 1920 booklet Millions Now Living Will Never Die!"
Question: Did the 1920 booklet "Millions Now Living Will Never Die!" contain any seeds of truth at all?
Certainly the title turned out to be in error.
usa, oklahoma | jehovah's witness church elder ronald lawrence arrested over sex abuse claims dating back to the 1980's.
a 76-year-old mcalester man was arrested tuesday on 19 counts of sexual abuse after police received claims he molested several children while in a position of authority more than 30 years ago.. mcalester police detectives were alerted to the alleged sexual crimes conducted by ronald lawrence back in august when his first accuser reported abuse at the hands of a jehovah's witness church leader.. a woman now in her 40s told detectives lawrence, an elder at mcalester's kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses, abused her when she was just eight years old, inviting her to his home, where he fondled her and raped her in his bathtub, according to her testimony found in lawrence's arrest warrant, which was issued tuesday.. two other accusers, also in their 40s, then came forward with similar stories of abuse.
both said they were very young, with one telling investigators the molestation took place from the time she was 10 until she was 13 years old.
"As it is believed the bible was written under inspiration of the holy spirit they can say he was appointed by holy spirit."
The Watchtower uses this reasoning.
But consider this illustration. Suppose that I obtain a book on medicine written by a Doctor A, and that I follow the instructions in it concerning writing a prescription.
Two questions could be asked.
1) Can the perscription that I wrote be considered as being written by Doctor A?
2) Can the perscription that I wrote even be considered as being written under the direction of Doctor A?
The answer to both questions is "No."
The same answer applies to whether the Holy Spirit appoints elders.
