some years have passed and i thoroughly enjoy the freedom, not having to bend my mind and rape my soul to force myself to do and say things that i don't feel or believe.

i started my own business, got a wonderful girlfriend and made some friends (that are not monsters like the wt$ likes to portray others).. my parents, siblings, brothers-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, ex-wife, "friends" and my daughter, have cut their contact to me.

It's yime for an introduction

i've been lurking a month or two and letting out a comment here and there.a few weeks ago someone asked if i had formally introduced myself.

i was born and raised a witness.

i always found meetings borning and family studies so bad.

Hey welcome! It's great to meet and talk to new posters. Glad to have you.

I followed the same as path as you in many ways. They keep you so busy as a witness that you don't have much time to verify or study independently. Once you peek beneath the curtain its all over. The creation brochure is one of the first things I found on my own to be lies. I started googling names quoted because I wanted to learn more. I wanted to be able to NOT beleive scientific evidence I had heard about. I wanted to prove to myself creation was possible and true. What I found was that many if the folks had been so severely mis-quoted that it was the same as lying about them... That almost gave me a panick attack.

Anyways, welcome and look forward to your posts.

My first cigar

not soon after i faded, i was on a company shindig and they were providing hand rolled cigars to everybody there.

i watched in amazement as this dominican guy rolled them in front of my eyes with great care and skill.

A couple months. I had always wanted to try one and liked the way they smell. I just tried one when I realized it was my choice and not "bad".

A "New" Revelation Grand Climax at Hand book might be released for Book/Bible Study?

a few elders i know said they hoped the wts would release a "new" revelation book to be studied during 2014. they said the jws need to be spiritually encourage at the "closeness" of the end and studying a "new" revelation book for 2014 might help shape up the flock of inactive, faders, disfellowship/disassociated jws to coming back.

I wish they would come out with a new book for a couple reasons. If it was a new new book then the dubs would have to hurt their brains studying it instead of using their four time studied copy they already have. It would probably wake a few more up when they saw the new changes.
