Do you realize what is involved in being able to comprehend an atom? Then harness it in the desert using mud, tar, and sticks?
There is negative zero possibility that people who got off the ark 100 years prior were ever going to make the tools needed to see an atom. They couldn't have understood it in that time. The science didn't exist and there was no possible way for them to even know what an atom was...

Nimrod was one of the accounts that made me doubt a literal view of the bible like WT espouses.
Nimrod and company supposedly built this tower as an affront to god about 100 years after the flood. There would have still been mass destruction and debris everywhere. Still bones of people and animals scattered around. Noah and his sons would have been alive during the time that Nimrod was born and raised. I guess Noah and company were the worlds worst preachers and pathetic followers of god if they didn't even teach their offspring about the flood. (still evidence of flood everywhere) While people were heading to Egypt, China, and Australia to start or restart their civilizations, a small group of people built a tower that was so impressive that god had to confuse their languages... yeah makes sense.
ok so... when i was talking to my mil about why i no longer wanted to be a witness she kept trying to convience me that i needed to speak to the elders.
i said from the word go i didn't feel the need to as my mind was already made up and no one could change it.
i also said if the elders new all my reasons for leaving they would view me as an apostate and i would get disfellowshipped.

Sorry girl. I've been through it too with all my family... It hurts, but surprisingly you get over it sooner than you would think. Focus on your fiance and son. Meet some neighbors, maybe join some type of group to meet new people. Those worked for me. Best of luck! I'm sending positive thoughts.

I am more amazed and enjoy nature shows more now. They actually make sense as opposed to wondering why god wanted the wasp larvae to slowly eat its host alive from the inside to get out.
