i've had some serious issues with the faith at the moment, and sexuality is a huge part.

That's your decision, but only do it if you can believe wholeheartedly. Don't accept a life of lying to yourself and others. Hang in there. Read Crisis of Conscience and do research on 607bce

after reading raymond franz's book crisis of conscience, it occurred to me how valuable a packet of only wt publications containing the truth about the truth would be.

many we want to reach of our loved ones would never believe something online or in a book.

but if you could order or download a packet made just of wt publications, you could reach them maybe.

Hmmmm... If you used info on Russell not being given special insight with proof of N H Barbour etc and old pubs I'd like to think you'd have a tiny chance. Even if it was just as a soft way to finally break it all to your spouse when the time was right.

Scary how hard to reach they are.

It would need all the historical stuff and the letters too with Malawi and Mexico contrasts. Thoughts?

Newbie - I need advice!

I told the brothers I was not a drunk, couldn't remember the last time I had been drunk, but that I felt alcohol was something I had to stop partaking of, and that I thought there was a chance I had a dependency. I said for personal reasons I wanted to step down for a time. It worked easily, and was true, as I became a heavy drinker the last two yrs trying to cope with my doubts. The two brothers said they would just tell the body I was stepping down for personal reasons. Seems to have worked very well.

i was raised in and i am currently on active status due to most of my family being very much in, but i am so ready to be done and have felt that way for quite some time.

Believe in God? A Christian?

so i'm curious, how long has everyone been out?.

I am still. Trying to figure out how to fade. Almost done with crisis of conscience... Had a couple near panic attacks reading it.

i want to believe in God. But, right now it's really difficult. Not just because of being a JW. I could never again believe in the bible as literal. Can't believe the flood or miracles the way they are described. Can't believe God would say to the Israelites they should kill little boys and infants but keep 32k virgins as wives... So if I end up believing, it will be a hybrid that accepts the bible as not directly inspired and infallible, and as a person who believes in evolution but thinks maybe God could have been the initial spark and guide?

My Dad's story

freedomlovers post about her dads letter got me thinking about my dad, in fact, it sounds like it could have been written by my dad.

every once in a while it really hits me that he is no longer here to talk to.

unlike most of you, i wouldnt have been afraid to approach him with questions or doubts.
