Julia, I feel like I know you in a way over the past several months. So sorry for your ordeal. Please know we care and feel for you. You may not be DFd at all over this. My two cents are that what was said was done not in front of two elders from your Cong if I understand correctly. The actual first step would be for two elders from your hall to either ask to meet with you or to ask you to repeat things that are df worthy. So just don't talk to them anymore.

Should I just DA or get DFD?
by Julia Orwell inmy never-a-jw dad told me today that mongrel jws who turn on me were never truly my friends and i'm better off without them, so why worry if i get disfellowshiped?.
i fear being disfellowshiped because my name will be dragged through the mud.
i also think it might be a good idea to da or get dfd because then the link is broken and the fade is over.

My JW best friend is bringing a 'heavy' around to my house to talk some sense into me.
by Julia Orwell ini agreed, if only because i want to see my friend of many years.
the 'heavy' is a large, imposing man with a booming voice and is a creature of the gb through and thru (eg only visited his dfd dad on his death bed because it was a 'good witness' to the hospital staff) and i'm feeling stressed about seeing him.
i so badly wanted to see my friend though, i agreed without thinking and now wish i hadn't have.

Welcome! You could say you were hurt when you were in service, and someone told you the org joined the UN. Say that you asked a trusted friend and they confirmed it. Don't say it's on the web. She is young and will google it on her own.. :)

Valedictorian speeches can be so inspiring and motivating for the students present. It's a chance to express your hopes for all present and the dreams you have moving into adulthood. To turn it into a religious speech is not only a jackass move, it's really unfair and wasteful.

Why didn't the angels already know that Jehovah should rule everything and not Satan
by sosoconfused inwhen i would go out in service and discuss the issue of "universal sovreignty" i always wondered why in the back of my mind why the angels needed to have proven to them that jehovah was worthy of worship alone and not satan.
no doubt they would have known he was aall powerful.
he created everything... and most importantly he was god.

On top of all that's been said, think about it. How could a perfect god, incapable of badness, unable to even think wrong thoughts, without a bit of evil or sin in him - create perfect and good children in his image that do bad and choose to be evil. And what a failure. One third of his angel children left. Both of his human children did. Now on earth 99% of his human children supposedly are worthy of death and horrible. All this from someone who was perfect and unable to to ANY of the things his creations have been guilty of.
