we live three miles above the bonneville dam.

they have shut down many gates in order to provide more water for the salmon ladders.

this raises our banks and results in about a 4 foot drop in river levels below the dam.

after more than a month of not attending the meetings, my girls will be returning to the meeting tomorrow.

if preaching and reaching everyone was really the goal, why not shut down all bethels and kingdom halls, stop people from wasting time building those complexes and printing literature and just have everyone use just the bible and just meet in homes?

they would have more time to preach and heck more money from bot supporting all these random projects so everyone could work less too..

You are 100% right. If someone tells me in the next three yrs that the end is so close they said we might not have a convention next year, I'm going to first puke and then explode. If it was so damn close they would be preaching and not give a crap about property and new building.

based on a letter elders in the united states have just received in the past week from the governing body, work on the warwick complex will take " a few years" to complete.

concurrent with this, the organization urges the rank and file to urgently preach the "good news of the kingdom" because we are so deep into the end.

so, why bother with the warwick project - or indeed the just advised project in the united kingdom to relocate the london bethel?

After 2000 years since JC was executed ,why have we heard not a whisper from GOD ALMIGHTY ?

he/she had no problem talking to adam and eve ,though they were sinners in his/her sight .throughout the hebrew sriptures, ot, he /she had no problem communicating with fallen man ,imperfect humans , to dictate his will to his subjects by means of prophets , male and female ,according to the bible , the old testament ,the hebrew scriptures , god communicated not once ,not twice ,not even thrice ,but dozens of times during the first 4000 years of human history according to the bible.. why has this god been so silent these past 2000 years ,when their have been atrocities above the scale of anything that has ever been seen these past 6000 years of human existence .. oh you may say that the atrocities were not committed by god they were committed by man.

fair enough .but god intervened in human affairs in such smaller infringements.

with prophets or so the bible says.. the so called apostacy after the last of the apostles , the influence of satan in the world ,( or was that after 1914 ,) and the 2000 year gap when christ was supposed to return ,never mind about all the crap that went before it .. the fact remains we have never heard from god ,any god, or even" a " god, with either his/her approval or disapproval of events good or bad these past 2000 years... smiddy.

It never happened anyway. lol there is no proof Abraham existed. But it's wrong to ask even an imaginary man to slaughter his son. And it wouldn't serve any purpose in the Bible if it was not an accurate account. If Abraham knew his son wasn't going to die and God knew he wasn't going to let him die then it was all pointless.

We just have a difference of opinion Tammy. And that's okay. In my opinion, god should do what the bible says he did before - show himself or give us a tangible sign. You feel he will talk to anyone in the spirit. But, the problem is, so many people don't know anything about your Jesus or the spirit you speak of. What about the billions alive who don't even know about the things you preach? God certainly could show himself and not just talk in spirit if he exists and is almighty. The fact that he doesn't is a big problem for me and others. But, it's not something we all have to agree on. Happy Friday everyone.

Why doesn't Jesus come to us? That's the point Tammster. If he wants to help us so much and wants to be there so much then why not make a meaningful manifestation of himself for ALL of the world today? Does it seem logical that people who are not born in Christian nations have no way to hear Christ? If he cares then he could make a peep for all of the world today.
