The body of elders if it is smart at all, will give clarification on his part. In my old hall they would make a brief announcement to correct that if it happened. It is so dumb to imagine god whispering in the ear of the GB that they have time to build new place before end, but that still no one knows the day or hour.

Former L T Elder- Head Quarters & Great Tribulation
by James Jackson inthe local needs talk this week was about helping with the building project in warick new york.
the speaker said twice that project was for building the "world head quarters"!
then he added twice; that the "great tribulation" cannot start to after the "world head quarters" is built!

Agree Julia! I like them and find them quite humorous, but some posters who I wont name use them many many times in a single post. It actually is hard to read sometimes as they dont always make great sense.
Use them, but use them sparingly. Throw in a few when you feel it, but don't try to see how many you can possibly use in a paragraph. lol

Rumor: April 3, 2015 start of Great Tribulation?
by Londo111 inon another forum, somebody mentioned that there is a growing belief with those high up in watchtower hierarchy that the great tribulation will begin april 3, 2015. evidently, one has to check the skycharts for that date and compare with 33 ceand also compare with the history of jws for past 40, 80, 120 years.
dont ask me to verify the rumor...these things come and go.
im sure lots of people in hq believe all sorts of things.. .

If you don't believe in God where do you get the strength to cope?

some of you do not believe in god.
some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.

I highly recommend meds. I use them currently. I don't think it's possible to get through this without some medication... I got the meds from my family doc. I just told him about me leaving the JWs and about losing everything. He got it and gave me anxiety pills you take as needed and some regular meds for depression as well. It was what I needed. Gave me the crutch to get past this.
Something else I did was to volunteer for a local cause. Joined a group of dedicated people and it's really a boost to know I'm doing something meaningful.
Please hang in there. Do try the meds. even though you are tired I'd like to encourage you to try volunteering. Do you have any local wildlife groups or animal shelters?

Feeling Disfellowshipped
by meep5 inlet me briefly explain my back-story: i grew up in a jw household and was technically a jw until 20 years old.
i stopped attending meetings in 1998 and told my parents i was done in 1999. i'm not sure where i saw my future when i was 19 but i know for a fact i didn't see myself as a "witness" then.
i hated the hypocrisy and the extreme gossip.

im sorry about what you are going through. I think it will be what I go through in another ten hears or so. I just left quietly with fam wife and child this year. I'm sorry again for the pain you are enduring. It isnt fair and I think they are a cult.
