  man kills sister over plot of land published on july 18, 2014 by pmnews 17 comments.

  a member of the eiye confraternity and jehovahs witness, adeola omotayo, 28, has killed his sister, omotayo rukayat adedapo, 30, after a minor disagreement over a plot of land.. the incident happened at rukayats residence, 22, pasoku street, aga area of ikorodu, lagos, southwest nigeria.. preliminary investigation revealed that rukayat was murdered in her room by her brother, who sells building materials at sawmill in itamaga, on monday at about 6 p.m., after they had an argument over the ownership of the piece of land.. p.m.news gathered that the night before the murder (sunday), adeola and his wife had visited rukayat and eaten in her house.. friends of the deceased said adeola only visited to know where his sister stays since they had not been talking to each other in the last two years.. late omotayo rukayat adedapo.

  I'm sorry, I tried to read this on jw.org but my eyes glazed over once I started reading. I copied and pasted it to a Word doc but it will probably take some alcoholic fortitude to get through it at a later time.

  It does read like one of the five-minute "plays" we used to detest writing for our parts on the "school". A five-minute play could be squeezed onto one page if you used a smallish size 9 font. This thing drones on for six pages and 2000ish words, which means the fictional householder Jon endured roughly 30 minutes of this drivel on his doorstep. Oh, that's right, "brothers" aren't limited to 5 minutes to prove a false bible teaching, my bad.

  District Convention

  don't know if this has been covered before, but who noticed that at every talk at the district convention (mine anyway), every speaker was introduced by name and then 'brother x has been serving for 25 years as a pioneer" or "he has served on the branch committee" etc etc.. what is it with these credentials?

  i've been an elder on and off for most of the last twenty years.

  big deal.

  They are, and always have been, about Labels.

  Even calling each other Brother and Sister is an announcement of self-perceived pious-ness.

  Now the really important labels mention the gb (grand borgians).

  Sad that those still believing have had their ability to objectively reason on such things surgically removed.

  All arguments aside...

  No one who has been abused in any fashion can possibly know whether it affected them adversely or not. Everything that happens to us makes an imprint on our brain, therefore we can have no idea of who we might have become had the abuse not happened.
