  US Zone visit: disappointing, depressing, discouraging

  i will have plenty of "snark" to post later on, but please indulge me while i get this out of my system..... suppose you are the leaders...yes, the leaders...there are only 7 of you...for the one true religion in all the universe.. jehovah the god of the whole universe speaks to you, you alone, out of 7 billion+ people on teh planet.. you have an opportunity, thanks to the advancements in technology, to speak to 750,000 of your followers "live", and another 750,000 or so within 24 hours.. 1.5 million people!

  hanging on your every word!.

  this is the first time in history you can simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, address so many of your adherents.. what message are you going to present for this special occasion?.

I must say, I wish the gb wackadoodles were this vocal back when I began studying....it's a shame it's taken so long for them to blatantly Come Out of the Weirdness Closet. If that's the closet they are coming out of....I mean, tight pants notwithstanding...um, spanxx for the memories...darn, where are my pink socks...

  Trashed WT's found in Dr.s' waiting room Friday. Do you trash literature you find?

  took the magazines in the waiting room and dumped them in the trash.

  was a great feeling.

  to think many witnoids wont dare throw out the surplus magazines they have in stacks around the house is amazing.

  Is the WTS effectively 'pimping out' sisters?

  i can't remember the topic with the discussion about the talk where they suggested that sisters should only consider ministerial servants as potential marriage partners but think about the implications more.. are they trying to use the potential affections of sisters to enourage brothers to do more and work harder?.

  isn't this a form of 'pimping out' the sisters by limiting their attention to the people contributing to them?.

  it seems to cross a line to me but i guess it's not vastly different to "only marry another jw".. what do you think?.

  Over 1,000,000 in attendance and you are worried about tight pants?

  you know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.

  " they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.

  but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".

  My Marking Talk

  back to august of 1988. my brother and i were the ones being marked.

  at the time, my father had clued us in that it was coming and had gotten a recording of it.

  are we not also obliged to act on wrongs being committed by a family member or members?

  when i am3 was going to speak i was ecstatic to hear this lunatic embarass himself.

  after the propaganda indoctrination session, a relative asked me what my spiritual goals were, i told em i want to become a servant before i turn 23 so i could get laid.

  It sounds like ALL of his comments would embarrass anyone with a brain and a conscience.

  Tight pants, spandex, omg colored socks?? Must marry MS/Eldumb, must be MS by 23, must must must must....gag.

  Thinking of ways to bring up these things with pio daughter...surely this is the best "open your eyes" opportunity presented in quite some time.

  husband told the elders i've called the religion a cult.

  Best information here: NEVER meet with them or do anything else that "validates" their position of power in the bOrg. Remember....these are not really servants of God, they are just guys who happen to go to church with your hubby. Think about it. Don't play THEIR game -- make them play YOURS.

  Can't possibly imagine what in h*ll your husband was thinking in ratting you out...what did he hope to gain? Sorry, but he's just plain weird for doing that. Sounds like he's more interested in getting sympathy from the eldumbs than in getting love and affection from his wife. Not sure how you feel about him but his actions say Idiot.

  Protect your children at all costs and never, ever let them be involved in this eldumb craziness -- including this trumped-up drama nonsense about celebrating holidays. Play the lawyer card and play it fast, even if you don't have one. The threat should be enough to send them running away.

  Congratulations on living life with your kids! Keep up the great parenting job.
