It's great not to feel both exhausted and guilty 100% of the time!
Now every day I wake up happy and with purpose. Now I have joy in my life instead of a phony money- and power-hungry religion. Yay!
i am so happy to be out of the cult.
i would never go back!
i don't know some still could accept this religion, be here, regularly and not just get out..

so recently there have been several posts with references to talks and articles that imply the following:.
most of those who learn ttatt or fade from the "truth", are actually practicers of bad things, eg immorality, hence that is why 'we' now find fault with the org?.
i find this so offensive that they imply such.
None of us were ever bad or evil to begin with.
We are all perfect in our own way.
been lurking for years, but couldn't log on.
for some reason, my email spam filter is inaccessable, and ended up having to open another account, simply to become a member... wonder how many others have had a similar problem.. its been an eye opener reading everyones life experiences, often so similar.. i was almost a born in, with a hardcore family.
abusive stepfather who was one of the original jws in the area, so much so, that it was called the xxxxx family religion.... been out for 25 years, am glad every day for that!!.
Mikado, welcome and (((hugs)))
many members just as in the catholic church have molested children and are not punished nor turned in to the police..
I knew two personally who molested my child and a friend's children. One was a teenager who stayed out after being df'd for repeated molestations. The other was never df'd but just kept congregation-hopping until he died a few years ago. He was given a memorial service at his hall with a lovely writeup in the local newspaper.
So much for wts justice.
within the last few hours, two separate posters, watchtower87 and pixel, independently posted news of a april 22nd, 2014 letter to the boe regarding a change in how elders are to be appointed and deleted:.
boe - pdf - confidential 2014-04-22 adjustment in process for appointing elders and minisletter to boe: adjustment in process for appointing elders and ministerial servantswhat i found very interesting is the letterhead and the signature.
they are both from "the governing body of jehovah's witnesses" and not from "the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses.".
I always thought it was obnoxious that they called themselves the christian congregation in the first place...they were just trying to say "hey, we're not a cult!"
Guess they changed their mind. They are a cult.
i am so happy to be out of the cult.
i would never go back!

Minimus, SOOOO GLAD TO BE OUT! I'm not da'd or df'd, just out. Their drama is their drama, not mine.
But it took me about a year to join this site and a year after that to start posting. Those teachings can be pounded in pretty deep.
A relative of mine who is born-in has trouble thinking of coping on her own, she is so used to the structure that she is scared to think for herself.
EVERY DAY OUT IS BETTER! LIFE IS GOOD!
DON'T BELIEVE THE PROPAGANDA, PEOPLE, AND STOP DRINKiNG THE KOOL-AID!
a couple of paradise earth questions: .
1) if you are a married, baptized witness couple (both people being baptized) and armageddon arrives, will the couple still be married on paradise earthtm?
2) if you are married to an unbelieving mate (ubm) and armageddon arrives, will the witness be free to remarry on paradise earth?.
Does anyone else find the whole there is a second marriage as someone is widowed...the first mate(s) who died before armageddon is/are resurrected, and no one is upset but they all just live happily ever after....WEIRD??
And all the illustrations showing happy, happy, happy jws in paradise are couples and families.
This makes sense how?
not long ago, there were comments on this topic.
i cannot find it, i don't know what the actual thread was.
i've checked back through the pages and done several searches, but don't know what the key words were, am coming up blank.
The wts view→ women are chattel.
hello, you read it here first!.
governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
to all congregations.
I hear that many of the COs now are quite young...wondering how many ms are "reaching out" for eldub positions these days? Or how many pubs are wanting to become an ms? They may have a limited number of "qualifed" older ones to appoint as COs so perhaps they are grooming young elders who would see it is as quite a privilege?

We must hate (the Disfellowshipped person) in the truest sense, which is to regard with extreme active aversion, to consider (the Disfellowshipped person) as loathsome, odious, filthy, to detest." (The Watchtower October 1st 1952 Issue, Page 599)
------------------------------------
"In the case of where a father or mother or son or daughter is disfellowshiped, how should such person be treated by members of the family in their family relationship?"
"We are not living today among theocratic nations where such members of our fleshly family relationship could be exterminated for apostasy from God and his theocratic organization, as was possible and was ordered in the nation of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai and in the land of Palestine. "Thou shalt surely kill him; thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him to death with stones, because he hath sought to draw thee away from Jehovah thy God, . . . And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is in the midst of thee."-Deut. 13:6-11, AS."
"Being limited by the laws of the worldly nation in which we live and also by the laws of God through Jesus Christ, we can take action against apostates only to a certain extent, that is, consistent with both sets of laws."
"The law of the land and God's law through Christ forbid us to kill apostates, even though they be members of our own flesh-and-blood family relationship. However, God's law requires us to recognize their being disfellowshiped from his congregation, and this despite the fact that the law of the land in which we live requires us under some natural obligation to live with and have dealings with such apostates under the same roof."
This is truly disturbing. Even though it is from the older magazines, this is the foundation of the current doctrine.
How many 8-year-olds will be baptized this summer, only to be subjected to this nasty disfellowshipping when their brains start to work independently of mom and dad?
