Innocent! This case appears to be one of the most manufactured things I have ever seen. but I'd vote guilty of being wierd. Glad that he has promised never to put himself in a position to be accused of these things again but its pretty dumb that he put himself in this situation in the 1st place.

when i was a kid my dad told me that when you said "amen" at the end of your prayer, that it meant "praise to jehovah".
i was listening to howard stern this morning and they were discussing the death of the pope, and they mentioned that his last word was "amen".
robin(the woman that does the news on the howard stern radio show) asked them what they thought that "amen" meant.
Yeah as a JW I was taught it meant "so be it", it was the agreement at the end of a prayer. If we didnt say "Amen" it meant that we didnt agree.

So Pharoah as an enemy of God was used as an example (by Jah) to show the nations how NOT to mock God?
To be like Pharoah (an enemy of God) would bring about embarrasment for Pharoah?
Am I following this right?
So, just like Pharoah, the Watchtower is Gods enemy and is waiting to be embarrased for their mockery of God?
Right? Or should *I* go back to bed?
a spokesman for homosexuality was on tv yesterday blaming the pope for some of the gay people catching aids, based of the popes disbelief in contraception.
then i saw other people echoing this.. how dumb are they?
the pope was also against homosexuality/ sex before marriage but none of them stopped practising sex because of what the pope believed did they?
I think the issue is with less developed countries in Africa and Latin America, where Catholic influence can reduce the availability of condoms, or help spread the misinformation that condoms are ineffective.
Yes, I am just begining to realise this, its a very valid point and quite a negative for catholicism.

i ask this question because i know alot of "born-agains"that do not like roman catholics and feel that they worship mary and will not make it to heaven.
my friend that is a devout catholic has told me many horror stories of christians sending pamphlets to catholic churches telling them that they will burn in hell.
i was igronant of the anti-catholic hatred that is taught in many born-again christian churches.
Good observation bebu.
Neo:
Sorry, the born again Christian organization hasn't released a statement on that yet, so I wouldn't want to "run ahead"...
lolol
Fact is, no one knows the answer to the question. See even if a person has wrong doctrine it doesnt mean they wont go to heaven or be saved. That is JW doctrine. Christian doctrine is that its not their decision who goes to heaven or hell. ANyone can be saved by grace.
after much though and prayer i have decided to request a reinstatement.
you are probably think is she nuts.
let me explain my reasoning.
Hey OFC, what if you sent that letter and they wrote back saying they had listened to your appeal and had consequently reversed your disfellowshipping????
You would have to comb your hair down to go back to meetings

what are your thoughts about jws adopting children?
has anyone here adopted children while a jw?
what are your views about this?.
Or is adoption the inherent right of every couple, regardless of their beliefs (or how their affects could affect the lives of the adopted children)?
Imo, they should be allowed to adopt. Each family should be weighed individually, if they can provide suitable care, then yes to them. I think the only condition should be to make the child a ward of court and never be allowed to refuse them life saving medication. Perhaps they should also make the condition of always giving the child the true history of their religion.
But yes to your question, they are human and should be allowed to adopt and experience the joy of parenthood.
