Same ol' Topic?

i've been reading through a lot of the posts and have to say, things are looking bad for me....i am looking for a bit of support with something that looks like an all too familiar topic:.

non-jw dating a jw.. my currently disfellowshiped jw is a 30 year old divorced father (3 children).

we have been together for 2 years.

I am trying to support this decision. We have separated. We still plan to be together in the future. At this time, I have asked him not to phone me or contact me in any way.

Making the decision not to have any contact with him might be costly, the JWs will determine to break up any feelings he has for you. This may sound harsh but I think its fair for you to know what will most likely happen next. There is no way he will be planning any future with you once he is reinstated as a JW. No way. Unless that is, you become a JW. Once back inside the movement, his only battle will be to forget you, once he has comfortably got back in, you will become a thing of the past and he will think that is "Gods will". I would suggest you keep contact with him now and dont burn your bridges. UNLESS he has asked you not to contact him at all, if he doesnt want you to contact him, then the message behind that is obvious. All the best

i had to come here and post about this.

my parents who have dutifully shunned me for nearly 9 years had the nerve to ask me for money.

it wasn't for food, a car payment, house payment or anything like that.

What are some of the "Get rich quick businesses" the witnesses tried?

i remember many witness businesses that would pop up.

usually they would say "i'll just offer it to the friends to get started, then when it takes off i can pioneer".

it was usually one after the other for the same people.

Did Jesus tell a fib?

if i remember correctly, many christians have been tortured and killed through the centuries.

their enemies killed them.

none of them that i know of ever had power over rattlesnakes or scorpions to the extent these critters never bit them.........so.......did jesus lie that they would be immune to deadly critters, and that they wouldn't ever be harmed,.....or did god allow a spurious scripture in his spirit directed holy word that could have caused the death of many if they trusted this scripture?.

He has already made the application to go back to the church.

You cant really make an application to go back, you just have to turn up and show that you are determined to follow the Watchtower by sitting at the back of the Hall and being ignored by everyone for months on end.

Pastor Kicks Out 9 Members For Not Supporting President Bush!

in north carolina, a pastor told the congregation of about 100 that if they voted for john kerry, they would not be welcomed in his church.

things this week came to a head when he took action to kick out 9 who didn't support the president.

others, in protest for the action also have left the church.

It's been one hell of a day : (

today started off good, it's mother's day, i get breakfast in bed.

then i'm outside doing what i want to do, getting our trailer ready for camping season.. what i thought my hubby (xjw_b12) was doing in the meantime was wishing his mom a happy mother's day, but he came out of the house and was a little on the off side.

instead of what i thought was he was doing and calling his mom, he caught a call from his mom instead, advising us that his uncle passed away on friday, by taking his own life.

Disgusting religion! Stories like this reeeally get me angry at them. Thinking of you and so sorry to hear what has happened :(
