Actually, I don't read these (sorry) as a general rule as I'm tired of the WT bs....droning on & on & on. But your concise breakdown of this century-old bull is quite good......albeit a satirical delivery.

When it comes to lawsuits & police.........the elders and the WT absolutely believe in stating "clery priviledge!" Absolutely. I know of several different cases where they've used it solely to their advantage in court.

That immunizes religious officials from being completely forthright, said Peter Isely, Midwest director for Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, a national victims-rights organization.
"Under no circumstances will they have to report, because how they find out about abuse is going to be through private communications," Isely said. "Almost everything is going to be covered."
When it comes to suspicions of abuse, communications with clergy aren't any different from conversations a school guidance counselor or teacher might have with a young person, Doyle said. In those cases, the potential abuse must be reported.

Somehow the heart of the matter has been lost....once again.

"We need to be able to protect that child and other children, and that trumps confidentiality," Doyle said.

Ahhhhhh, but that's not the case with JW's! They will allow their own children to die because their corporation leaders INTERPRET some scriptures to suit their own purposes..........to keep their corporation followers.

how does one dry oakleaf hydrangeas flowers?

i know how to dry the regular round hydrangeas.

i cut them after they've matured (but before they totally dry out & start browning), then put in about an inch of water.....and they absorb the water, and slowly dry as the water dries out.

Well, well, well.

I've used silica (whatever) crystals before for drying....but not hydrangeas.

The glycerin (whatever spelling again) sounds good. I've tried drying upside down - but once the hydrangeas are papery.....just putting them close together in a vase (to keep their *heads* up & intact) works as well.....with little space taken. And it certainly dresses up a lot of rooms while their drying.

I haven't - another Natural Death in my garden.

I've dried my blue hydrangeas for a decade now - no problem. But the Oakleaf? No success! I just leave 'em to die a natural death.

I'll go to all the sites - thanks, my searches did zip & been busy at work.

I know how to dry the regular round hydrangeas. I cut them after they've matured (but before they totally dry out & start browning), then put in about an inch of water.....and they absorb the water, and slowly dry as the water dries out. Works well - and there are a couple of other ways too.

But Oakleaf Hydrangeas don't dry that way for me. Is there another way that really works? I've seen them dried....so know it's possible. I've searched some on the web for info - but no success. Even Martha didn't actually answer that question.

Were You Able To "Express Freeness of Speech" While You Were A JW?

i've come to appreciate that "freeness of speech" is something one could have only if they were studying with witnesses.

once you became a witness, it was all over!

no more questions, discussions or contrary opinions.

lol - yeah right.

My *head* was usually asleep during the meetings. So therefore, if I had a question about the meeting, it would have been met with a blank stare. His favorite question to me after the meetings was "Did I miss anything?" Which was answered with "No."

ps to Minimus.............I think it's great that we can discuss a "woman's *head*" and also "my *head*" and not give into the natural dirty joke thingie. It's killing me btw.
