I think you are very brave to tell your story on YouTube and let others see this personal part of your life.

Other than the person here who said he did not find you cute, I think most people feel like Pseudo said, "I wonder how her tourette's syndrome works out for her at the meetings. It must be difficult for her....."

I'm sure that the discussion of the difference in clothing styles amongst Witnesses around the world was also not meant to be hurtful to you personally.

I experience the same thing. I just don't attirbute it to Jesus personally. I think everyone experiences flashes of insight. Everyone.

My computer crashed and I lost the thread and am now having trouble getting into past threads, but...I did look up past tec/tammy posts to make sure and she does very clearly say several times that she asked Jesus about her friend's being so nasty to other posters (auGust) and that Jesus replied that it was okay for auGust to be nasty and mean because others were mean to her first. Which goes directly against the biblical counsel to "return eveil for evil to no one" and "turn the other cheek". This tells me very clearly that the voice she is hearing is not Jesus, it is herself wanting to stick up for her friend. I'm sorry, but she did invite me to test what she was saying, so I did. I was around reading on this site at that time and there was a lot of fundmentalism on the topics at the time. It struck me in the brain and I wondered what the site was really about.

I am sorry, but I also see so much contradiction in your comments, tec/tammy.

You said, you don't see how certain ones can be amongst Christ's brothers. Then you say, "I don't make judgment calls on other people."

You say you don't speak for Christ, but then you say you "share" what he tells you. I do not understand the difference. Could it be that when you speak Jesus' words to like-minded people, who also have your same views - that is "sharing"? But when you speak Jesus' words to a discussion board of people who do not have your same views, that would be speaking for Christ, is it not?

Also there is the matter of the authority of the one you choose to speak for. If I tell you that my friend Hillary doesn't like mushrooms on her pizza, I am speaking for her, but it is a trivial matter. When you clam that Jesus told you something, that is entirely a different matter. Because of the authority behind his name, you are not sharing - you are speaking for him.

I'm sorry, I didn't intend to put her on the spot. It's just that she often says for others to test what the Bible says against a law of love and whether it comes from Jesus. I did that because she claims to speak for Jesus and this part of her hearing from Jesus seems to go against what I believe the Bible and Jesus says. I do not hear Jesus so I guess I have to go with what she says. This seems a contradiction.

You had previously stated that you do not view certain parts of the Bible as inspired. This statement in conjunction with what you said above ^^^^^ makes me wonder...

Are you saying that the parts of the Bible that advise "return evil for evil to no one" and "turn the other cheek" and "do not go reviling in return"...etc. are not inspired? Or they just don't apply to you? I'm not trying to be a smarty-pants, but I've seen you use that line of reasoning quite a few times here - that it is okay for you to treat others badly, if you feel they are treating you badly. It's an attitude that seems to go against what I believe Jesus' advise was.

Also, where would such an attitude end? If soemone stole from you, would you then say it's okay for you to steal from them in retaliation?
