  jehovah long ago confidently stated that he was going to rock the very heavens and the earth into oblivion.

  although not going into detail exactly how he proposes to shake the nations up, it goes without saying that the world stands posed to experience a catastrophe beyond human comprehension.. it has now been six months since the so-called 9-11 disaster.

  and while most people have been quick to get back to business as usual in their little lives, the events of 9-11 have set off a chain reaction of official policy revision that has potentially far-reaching consequences.

  You Know: I’m confused by your position regarding which being/entity/group-of-humans will be the prime instigator of a nuclear conflict. Your statements appear, on the surface, to be contradictory. Since you and I have a history of disagreement, you may think my question is insincere, or a ploy to argue with you, but I assure you this is not the case. In fact I do not read or post here any longer, and was only directed here by an interested party who declines to post personally.

  What I got from your posts was:

  Since nearly every apostate parrots the same thing, can someone please explain to me how it is Jehovah doing if he allows men go on a genocidal rampage?

  just got off the phone with an elder who called to set up a meeting with me.

  my hands are a bit shakey, but i'm settling down and feeling better, all in all.

  the elder had left messeges this weekend (i was out of town), and i had heard from my mother a week previous that they were going to come gunning for me.

  I make it a habit to spend inclement Saturday mornings away from home. From personal experience, that is when the elders in cargroups make "shepherding visits"...in order to find an alternative to walking door-to-door in the rain.

  There's usually a book or music store open at 10am.

  and i mean older in the literal sense not time in h20 or jwd and with some serious time put in with the wt.. how do you feel?

  how do you or did you face the facts of the wt and dismiss everything and everyone that you have believed in and has been your friend for so many years?.

  how do you make up for lost time?

  I suppose I qualify as "old", although I don't feel that way.

  I'm rapidly approaching 50 and in some ways I have never felt better. I have energy and strength I didn't feel when I was 20 or 30. My children are grown, I'm established in my career, I'm not wealthy, nor do I worry about paying my bills.

  Yes, I could have furthered my education if not for being raised a JW. I was smart in school and somewhat of an achiever, given my limited arena. I had an aptitude for math and I do wish I could have pursued the subject. However, raising decent children - at the cost of becoming financially secure - means something to me. I don't think I'd trade that for anything.

  I've never been one to spend a great deal of time looking back, wondering what might have been. I know I have some productive years ahead and I intend to make the most of them. I hope I find a partner to share those years with, but if not I'll find happiness on my own. I refuse to spend even a moment whining about what was taken from me. I gave myself willingly to "the cause" and I have no one but myself to blame for my years of devotion.

  How do I feel? I've never been better in my life. Old is a state of mind.

  Prisca, you and I have not exchanged words that I can recall. But I wonder what compelled you to reply as you did to this obvious plea for help. Can I lend you a few dollars (or the Australian equivalent) to buy a blow-torch to thaw out your heart? Is there any possible reason for you to exhibit such harshness to a person in such pain? Does your animosity run so deep?

  Whatever demons you are dealing with, I sincerely hope you heal. I can only imagine great suffering in your own past would cause you to act with such coldness.

  Others have called you names...I will not resort to such. Please, think about how you might feel if you were in a similar situation.

  And as for "real-life help"....this, my Dear, is as real as it gets. I am Tina's real friend, so is Wendy, so is Julie, so are many others. Some of you have offered me "real-life help" and I don't know where I'd be without it. What does "real" mean to you, Prisca?

  Sorry I just now noticed your post, Harm. Not much I can add to the other words of support other than, "Me Too!"

  What's that scripture about losing Mother or Father or Brother or Sister for the FAITH and regaining them?? Look around you at the family you've obtained here - how unconditional the love and support. Who says blood is thicker than water?? Can we measure cyber-thick??

  With Tina, Mommy Dark, myself, and the others here offering to be substitute moms...you could go broke next Mother's Day. Better start saving up!
