I always wondered why, the letters written by Paul and others, Jesus's siblings etc, just suddenly - stopped. ?? The "Councils" that set up the Catholic Church were a few hundred years after the death of Christ. There was a lot of letter writing back and forth and sent all over for about a hundred years and then - nothing? For two hundred years ? Really ? And then the Catholic Church decides which letters are Canon ? And all who disagreed had a different Canon, the Apocrypha books ? The Eastern Orthodox Bible ? Synoptic Churches ? . Numbers 21:14 refers to The Book of the Wars of the Lord what happened to that book ?missing or lost. 1 Kings 8:12-13 referes to the "Book of Songs" missing or lost. 2nd Chronicles refers to " The Story of the Prophet Iddo ? missing or lost. And Zechariah was the son of Iddo. Peter refered to the "Book of Enoch" ? missing or lost book. Where is it ? Peter must had read it. Jude 9 refers to the "Assumption of Moses". "Midrash of the Book of Kings" ?? refered to in the Bible, not in existance or missing or lost. Since there was so much letter, and written communication going on among early Christians, why did it suddenly stop.??? Just completly stop.?? Only one fragment of Paul's writings have been found that date to the first century. In spite of evidence that a lot of writing was going on right after Jesus died and there was a big push to travel, and then write letters, which became the bulk of the Greek Scriptures.

Looking for feedback on this approach
by NCC-1701 inhere's something i've brought up into conversation with a couple of witnessess and i was curious about what other thought.. let's say a witness goes into a coffee shop and sits between an athiest and a christian.. the witness starts a conversation with the athiest about the bible.
the athiest poses the question about the reliability of the bible.
the witness explains that the bible is completely trustworthy because of it's historical accuracy, meticulous transmission, etc.. the athiest says that's interesting and thanks him for the information.. the witness then turns to the christian and begins the same conversation he had with the athiest.

200 Billion WT Corporation gives all Members Vote, then Distributes all Money to Members
by villagegirl inthe plan: the wt corp turns 200 billion dollar $ assets, property, stock, investment, into cash, then sends a check to every member, men women and baptized children.
these people are 7 million in number and now each get a check for $30,000 x 7 million = $200 billion.
the governing body quietly leaves town.

Its my opinion that every baptized person should have a vote on all doctrinal questions and all expenditures and that there should be a suggestion box in every KH and the suggestions should all be posted on a KH web site, an internet message board for every KH that can accept posts, like this one. This of course would then be a completley different religion in about one week. Every baptised person should be able to vote on who gets to be an elder or be in any position of authority and all positions should be open to both men and women. All real estate should be owned by individual members and shares should be distributed to all baptized members of all WT corporation holdings. ( they invest the money you give them and buy land thats what they have been doing for a century ) The GB should be accountable, 4 men 4 women, voted in, voted out, every five years or so. Those running for GB could campaign on their religious ideas and platforms and have open debates and be challenged openly by rank and file members. Dividends should be paid to all members. Any change can be passed by a majority vote.

When you wake up you realize how the WT has demoted Jesus and if you talk about him they treat you like an apostate for mentioning his name. The Governing Body see themselves as the 'sole channel' of communication between God and Mankind and sets themselves up as the Mediator, which means they themselves ARE 'That Man of Lawlessness Standing in the Holy Place" Its is a dangerous sect because, its real sole purpose is to separate all people from the Christ.

a number of cult leaders may exhibit many of the behavioral characteristics of a sociopath--an outstanding ability to charm and seduce followers.

proplog2 quote: It is one thing to disprove a doctrine, reveal a coverup, highlight mistakes. It is another thing to make ad hominen attacks. "PROFILE OF A SOCIOPATHIC ORGANIZATION" is putting a negative label on the Watchtower Organization. The use of the word "sociopathic" masquerades as some kind of scientific and objective description or classification. In fact your presentation is lacking in exhaustive evidence. Science requires some kind of measurement. In your first example you use very general statements:
ANSWER TO proplog2
(1) The WT literature specailizes in ad hominen attacks. The attack of all other religions is central to WT doctrine. Personification(ad hominen?) is WT labelling all other religions as a big "Whore"
(2) The Watchtower Organization, has killed thousands of children by instructing their parents to let them bleed to death
(3) The Watchtower Organization let thousands of Haemophilia victims bleed to death, then changed their "blood" teaching and never admitted their guilt.
(4) Exhaustive evidence exists in documentation and testimony of survivors of the Watchtower Societies complicity in the sexual molestation of children.
(5) Exhaustive evidence exists, pragmatic, matter-of-fact that the Watchtower Society has no provisions for the poor, the sick, orphans, or the homeless, even though plain scripture from Jesus himself instructs his followers to give evidence of their faith by acts of charity that would benefit others with food, clothing, shelter, and other acts of care.
(6) Not going to War is not unique to the Watchtower Society. Many religions take the same stand. Seventh Day Adventists, Quakers, Buddhists, conscientious objectors.
(7) Jesus instructed his disciples to carry a sword, which is why Peter had one, when he cut off the ear of Malchus, when Jesus was being arrested.
(8) Proplog - when you see coverup, deception, lies, manipulation, who do you think is responsible ? Where do you think it originates ? Identify the source its the Governing Body from whom all these things come down to you, the false claims to exclusve knowledge and doctrine, the rules against education, the oppression of women and children, the prohibitions, the condemnations, the shunning rules , where do they come from ?? THINK

There should be compensation, for all the harm they have done, stealing whole lives away from people, isolating them. Young people thwarted in developing themselves, educating themselves. Shielding child molesters and violent physical abusers. $$$ money compensation should be demanded.

If they are using you to count you as a member of the 7 million reported members, your in, and notice the baptized children get a vote, because if your old enough to decide on choosing the the GB as your Leader and call the eight men in New York City, the "Faithful and Disreet Slave" then you are also old enough to Vote. Just think, a married couple with two baptized children get $120,000 when all this wealth is evenly distributed.

The reason they don't want you to have "worldly" friends is so when you are shunned, or disfellowshipped you will have no friends at all and not know where to go for any help, then you come crawing back just for human companiosnhip or kill yourself. This is a cult, that waht cults do.

Not meaning to sound sexist : In general are women more emotional/feel good about religion, and men more proof/doctrinal in their acceptance ?
by smiddy ini`m just speaking from my own experience here ,and it has occured to me that over the 33 years i was a witness and in the six congrgations i was a part of , except for a few exceptions, the majority of sisters in the congregations did not have a grasp of the so called deeper things of god, according to wt theology, sure they could run off " bible topics for discussion" sermons but very few could take a discussion any further than that.whereas i was aware that males seemed more likely to delve deeper into, not only the scriptures, but also the wt interpretations as a whole.
don`t get me wrong a few women left me for dead in their comprehension of topics ,but i`m just saying overall i found this to be the case ... my experience... smiddy.

Sorry Tater if I misread you. As for being accused of being a female Taliban, I won't bother to defend myself on insistence on equality for all. I am against Apartheid, in all its forms.
I don't think men or women are locked into any special 'roles'. Jesus was shocking people all the time when he treated women just like he treated men, 'neither male nor female... but all one in the Christ' that was what He said.
There are stupid women and there stupid men. The structure of the GB , if it were even Biblical to even have such a thing, and there is no Biblical support even for the concept, but if there were, it should be 4 men and 4 women all equal. Men spend a lot of time trying to justify "subjection of women", in the WT and other religious organizations, its takes up energy they could use more productively. Men who want to dominate women and others, who they consider "not in their class", always revert to accusing the opponent of such hierarchial views, as "Hating" them. For want of any real defense of their stance.
