  How exactly did Jesus fulfill the law NOT the prophecies.

  theres a clear difference between prophecies (predictions of future events) and laws(stuff you should and shouldnt do).. now since xians always says jesus fullfilled the law, how does one fullfill a bunch of requirements like dont murder, dont worship idols, shave your beard like this etc.. there are 613 laws in the torah, jewish rabbis have done all the hard work and we have a nice list on wiki.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/613_mitzvot.

  im confused which of those some how select a unique individual to be the unique messiah ?

  then again there were many messiahs, every king and priest of israel and judea was a messiah.

  The law and the sacrifices and the blessings were all done through a system of a Priesthood,

  remember? Jesus REPLACED the Priesthood. The Priesthood was acting as a mediator.

  Jesus Christ became the Mediator, the Priesthood was no longer required because Christ

  was and is, now able to forgive sins directly, no sacifices of animals required, and now we

  have direct access to him, one on one. He therefore fulfilled and completed the Law.

  No governing body acting like a "priesthood" required, no organization

  recquired, no special earthily and heavenly classes required, just faith and grace and holy

  spirit to become one in the body of Christ. No 100 page explanations required. Just faith.

  James 2:26 - "faith without works is dead"

  i was contemplating this verse this morning... what did james mean by "works"?

  and it hit me like a bolt of lightning.. now, wts would have us believe these "works" are preaching and meetings.

  however, could that be what james was referring to?

  i stay at my grandmother's house and pay a little rent to her (r500) as it is all i can afford.

  i do however buy and take care of all my own food, washing etc.. this morning at 6 am, my bedroom door opend, slammed shut, heard the key turn a couple of times, open and slam shut again.

  i woke up with a fright as that has never happened....first thought is someone is in the house.

  There are universities/colleges in the large cities ?

  Grants for study must be available, and you do not have to pay back a grant.

  There must also be scholarships, or, grants based on income, available to you ?

  If you could get into some course of study leading to a profession,

  you could move your life forward and be free of the control and abuse of your relatives.

  I hope they Do file an appeal and it gets lots more TV and press and internet exposure vecause of it. My guess is they are scrambling around DESTROYING RECORDS of all the sexual abuse cases reported and "handled" internally by the "brothers" There have been thousands of such cases covered up.

  Anyone in a congreagtion NOW who has access -

  If 1914 is wrong then how is it that it was such a landmark year?

  this is the question that came up in my mind.

  now dont get me wrong i know the dates from 607 - 1914 are rubbish, but how would you explain to a witness when they will automatically say, look at the momentus year 1914 was.

  that is evidence enough that 607 is correct!.

  Lots of Dates in history are remarkable for an event, in this case

  it was NOT Jan 1st 1914 it was well into 1914, It was like 1914 1/2 in June

  that the war was declared.

  It was later more nations became involved, it was progressive as all wars are.

  How about 9/11 hasn't that date had a world wide impact ??

  How about WW11 ? Or the invention of the telephone ? Or the Internet ? Or personal computers ?

  The WT DID NOT PREDICT WW1 - that is the point

  They predicted Jesus Christ would return - and then they said the generation

  who was "of an age of understanding in 1914 would still be alive when Armageddon came"

  It is one hundred years since 1914 so how is that prophesy working for you ?

  They kept ON saying that until the mid-ninties and it was on every Awake magazine until about 1994.

  They ALSO said in 1925 the Prophets of Old would be resurrected back to earth > see Millions Now Living Will Never Die pamphlet

  of 1919. And the WT built a mansion in San Diego for the Prophets to live in.

  Tater - You are assuming all and everything is evil? - what about the ocean ? The mountains ? The flowers ? Animals ? Birds ? Food ? Wine ? Beer ? Sunlight on the grass ? God is not ALONE there are all kinds of other creatures, visible and invisible, higher intelligence ,other dimensions, some good some evil, what about Love ? What about your wife and children and your favorite things ? Happiness itself ? Laughter. Music ? Usually there is more good than evil in out lives.

  Etes Say Wha' ? Dude - really there are peopl out there who could really use some actual earth based, grounded, -help and all you want to do is froth at the mouth about the end the end the end - Is life SOOO miserable that the only thing you can obsess about is the END ??

  What about the beginning of a new life, ?? The WT destroys hope, destroys talents, destroys young people becoming useful citizens, and actually doing something with their lives. The whole closed society thing. Its so anit-Christ. Christ said " I came that you could have life and have it more abundantly.." not this muddy thinking, this self aggrandizement, enough is enough , you and lars scare off people

  this past saturday, i was watching the georgetown/syracuse game, and a nike commercial was played during one of the breaks.

  i couldn't locate the exact commercial, but below is a variation of it that has scenes from the same one that aired on saturday.

  man did i feel some heavy resentment towards the wt during and especially after the commercial aired.

  My daughter came to me all excited and wanted to join Brownies, I remember the crushed look on her little face.

  It haunts me, to think of the pain I caused her, and single moms, and our kids, were never "in with the in crowd" in the congragation

  so we were isolated even in the congregation. Just the tip of the iceberg in what happened to her.
