Using the big brother little brother excuse for constantly bragging

that Canadians are "morally superior" to Americans is so petty minded

and resentful and jealous, apply that to any other relationship and it stinks.

Canada is weird, and I was not only born here, I come from a line of Canadians

all the way back to 1734, there are parks named after my family.

I have always wonded why Canada does not have its OWN car industry.

Every developed nation on earth does except Canada,

we simply manufacture other peoples brands.

And ignat: How is it you so greatly admire the Chinese

imperialism while simultaneously hating American imperialism ?

The rule of law does not rest upon the same values in China

as it does in the West. Our Rule of Law is based on Torah,

the Ten Commandments, the Hebrew and Roman legal system.

The Chinese are a slippery, secretive and extremly racist society

and they base there philosophy on Confucius teachings,

which essentially says the masses of people are for the consumption

and use of the rich. No health care, no free K-12 education in China.

Money is the most important life goal, in China, and if a

worker is injured there is no workers compensation, they just fire him

and leave him to die. No welfare, no social housing, or charity as we know it

is non exisitant. Benevolent societies are clan based power structures.

Its the Great Wall of China School of Business;

in building the Great Wall they worked the workers to death

and then plastered their bodies into the wall. In Africa they mow down villages.

A future ruled by China would be your worst nightmare.

Allowing them to buy one square foot of Canada is a mistake.

Mexico saves itself by having a rule that no-one but indigenious Mexicans

can actually own the land or resources of Mexico.

China's involvement in Africa or Canada, is not benevolent.

Infinity and god - why wait to create the universe?

here's the problem with infinity ... we can't comprehend it.. it's bad enough when it's space, but when it's time as well and then we throw in some all powerful creature supposedly existing forever ... well, it just doesn't make sense and raises questions.. such as why wait?

why didn't god create the universe the day before he did?

or the day before that?

god existing for infinity and suddenly deciding to create the universe mke any sense. I don't think it does when you think about it and religion is keen to mke you focus on much later stuff. Science has a resonable answer that fits the known facts.

You are young and I am old my friend science is not static,

science changes and contradicts itself through time.

how reasonable is it to say a creature without eyes determined

somehow it needs to see ? And so "evolved eyes" ? Man has wanted

to fly for countless thousands of years and yet we are not growing wings.

Man used to be defined as the only animal that used tools, till someone noticed

other animals use tools and problem solve. I don't even think we are God's

favorite animal. Let alone the smartest.

How an old man envisions no more 1914 that everyone swallows

so my dad and i went fishing and we got to talking about russell and his demotion.

now my father admits that this change in doctrine screws everything up.

now i am sure someone here may have thought about this but he says, "well if russell is not inspired and that means 1914 is no go the next available date would be 1935 as a keystone for everything.. if they finally recognize secular sources and point to 586 or 587 they can now say that jesus began ruiling in 1933 or 34 and selected rutherford at that time.

There is some weird WT mentality that they should be able to

calculate the plans of God by dates and measuring times between

"key" events. I think the thing that releases and frees us from this

strange philosophy is realizing the point of Christianity is that all it

takes is love and hope and treating each other kindly, its not about

calculations or waiting for things to happen. How to get that across,

as simple as is it is, is such a complex task somehow.

The appeal of the religion is its "exclusivity" the "chosen people" idea

the we are the only ones, idea. Its like if we just stay here under this

box, we are safe, and we don't have to think very much or be responsible

for the outcome of our lives and we aren't responsible to help other

people who are not one of us. Many other religions do that, some wear safron robes,

others are wearing plain clothing and driving a horse and buggy, others have turbans

to distinquish them or other special clothing, all saying "we are the ones".

God loves best.

So, villagegirl, you've adjusted your description of the US from innocent colony to fellow imperialist?

What ? if you think anybody who took over any indigenous lands are imperialist.

Generally the term is used to described the ambitions of aggressors who conquer established States,

Like Germany's ambition to rule the World, and Japan's ambitions to rule China and the

Pacific region and whatever other countries they could overthrow.

I think America saw itself as a refuge from oppressive forms of governments and

monarchy and wanted to create a new kind of State, government of the people,

by the people and for the people.

The fundamental concepts of Jean Jacque Rousseau, formed the basis of American

and all modern political,sociological and educational thought.

The Bill of Rights is a revolutionary document, especially for the time it was written.

Canada has a lot of social problems.

Racism is very much present here and as you say, denied.

I think the Chinese were favored for mass immigration because they were

perceived as white skinned. They come from a completely oppressive political philosophy,

the concepts of democracy are better understood by South Americans and Africans.

And Canada favor Sikhs over Hindus if you count numbers in this country as anything.

Certain races have been stereotyped with negative myths and the Chinese are

stereotyped with absurd myths about their intelligence and education.

Nothing has been invented in China for one thousand years.

All the present economic boom in China is because Western Corporations

accepted what amounts to slave labor from the controlling hierarchy in China.

They had no electricity across China, no sewage systems, not even modern

bridges or roads, but the western corporations transplanted entire factories into the major cities

the only places that had electricity,and set up a system that required only bodies,

hands doing assembly work at $1 a day, with the slave labor sleeping and eating in the factory

24 hours a day and they never get to go home except once a year.

No other country could deliver this kind of control. The products are western designed,

the methods were western, the supplies and machinery are western, but

most importantly the transportation, warehousing and distribution to shopping Malls

was already in place waiting to be flooded with Chinese made goods, in the West.

What the corporations did not foresee or care about was

the devastating effect this had economically on us in the West.

When you kill your own customers by taking their jobs, you kill the economy.

Ignat ? Manifest Destiny ? was a 19th century doctrine that United States

would expand across the continent, from New York to California,

from Mexico to Canada. All these USA territories were previously

colonized by France, Spain, and England, and of course inhabited

by indigenous people originally.

The Louisiana Purchase in 1803 was a deal between the

United States and Napolean of France to buy the vast area of the

entire middle of the continent including Arkansas, Oklahoma,

Missouri, Iowa,Nebraska, most of Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota,

Half of North Dakotoa, Montana,most of Minnesota

and part of Wisconsin and part of Texas, all owned or claimed

by FRANCE up to 1803.

The Americans paid 18 million French francs to Napolean,

for this huge territory, not a shot was fired.

Mexican territory was held by privileged Spanish Nobilty

who were given vast land in California, Texas and New Mexico.

These were all colonies of SPAIN. The rest was colonized

by England. Meanwhile - elswhere: The Turks had invaded nearly

every country in Europe and North Africa and the Middle East

forming the Ottoman Empire which was an occupation by force

that lasted six centuries from 1299 to 1922 -

Because the Islamic Manifest Destiny believed the entire world

should be one big Caliphate. They still believe this by the way.

Unifying the United States was still going on as a struggle

in the 1860's Resulting in The Civil War Fought from 1861 to 1865

the result of the war was territorial integrity and abolition

of slavery. From the point forward the infrastructure building began.

Roads, railroads, communications. Electric Power started in 1886

and by 1936 there was electric power across the continent.

By 1869 there was a transcontinental railroad linking the

West Coast to the East Coast.

Canada was doing exactly the same thing to connect Canada

as one nation from Montreal to Vancouver. ( Canadian Manifest Destiny? )

Demonizing the Americans is just ignorance of history and American contributions.

You are using the Internet ? Invented by Americans. As was the personal computer.

And its all about freedom of access and freedom of speech - how American.

Diet - what is you diet like? How much fish do you consume ?

Look at those races cultures with smooth skin - they eat a lot of

fish - raw and broiled- fish oil - olive oil - eating it I mean.

Coconut oil and shea butter shoud also be consumed and applied

Drink water - Do not drink Pop or too much alcohol.

Get 8 hours sleep. Exfloliate with scrubs, then apply vitamin C cream.

Do NOT use any creams with Mineral Oil in them

( like Avon) Mineral oil does not allow the skin to breathe,

covers the skin and smothers it, saps out natural moisture,

it is a cheap ingredient added to prolong shelf life and

it,s simple, i can not remember crap from my previous life.. the wife told me today if you come back in the next life, please.

Well nothing is every destroyed, it only takes on a different form,

that is basic physics. So all energy is recycleded, is thought energy ?

Your atoms remain if you live or die, they change form and are recycled

all religion says is that your personal self or soul returns in

some form to God, or in the case of the idea of eternal life on earth,

some altered state of physical being that does not decay with time,

not biblical or scientific.

Simon your basic premise is flawed.

You assume there was something called a "Day"

and you assume there was a "waiting period"

Physics and quantum theory show that past and present

are the same and everything exists in multiple dimensions

the location and fixed time of anything is unknowable.

I love it when JW's expound their vast storehouse of knowledge

based on their long years spent at Princeton and MIT.

And when atheists assume science disproves religion or that God

is something that can be sorted out.

"Gross interference with other countries" ? the USA ?

Do you think Canada was unihabited when it was

settled by the French and British ? Canada still has

the Queen on its money, and was part of the British Empire

which invaded and dominated most of the world. Canada

is part of the Commonwealth of 54 countries who were

colonies of Britian and are comprised of 30 percent of the

world's population, 2 billion people. The USA was a colony.

It was not the Imperialist. Had the USA decided to colonize

all the countries it liberated from the Nazis then most of Europe

and Asia would be part of the USA. The educational legacy of the

WT shrieks volumes on this board.
